There are plenty of beans in France, for example Cassoulet (beans and sausage (and duck for the expensive stuff)) is a national dish.

And...

Despite Brexit, several British food manufacturers still export to Europe. Heinz and HP beans are available on the supermarkets world foods shelves

But

We do eat French most of the time, for dinner I'm making sarladase potatoes, poulet à l'ail and petits pois. French for fried potatoes, garlic chicken and peas.

I love sarladaise potatoes :yum:

Just had dinner... nothing fancy... Spundekäs und Vollkornbrot (Spundekäs is a kind of cream cheese spread with garlic and spices . My flatmate makes it. Vollkornbrot is dark German whole-grain bread. )

I had leftover salad that consisted of oranges, olives, and fennel(and some other seasoning type stuff).

I ate it in the chair in the library, out of the bowl that it was stored in(I finished it off).
