Before Islam and Muhammed Arabs already worshipped a God called Illah which i think means God and adding Al it becomes the God,thats from my understanding anyway.
no this is wrong
Possibly,i think this is the culprit,"if i am considerate a cat or anything as "God " , i will call it "Allah"
Are you saying that "if i consider a Cat or anything else as "God" i will call it "Allah" meaning that although "God" shares the same name both pre and post Islam but only the post Islam one is divine.
In Arabic there are 2 words meaning different things.
Illeh and Allah
Illeh means god. It can mean any god. A pharaonic god. A pagan god. Any god or idol. Horus is an Illeh. Isis is an Illeh.
Allah is a name.
It is a word in Arabic with only one meaning and can be used for only one person.
In Arabic Allah means the name of an Illeh. But to Muslims that Illeh is called Allah. The only one true God.
Christians in the Middle East call God Allah also if they are Arabic speakers. Allah is not only a Muslim word. It is used by Middle Easterners when they speak of the one true God. The God of Abraham.
When Western Christians speak of a 'moon god Allah' they just show ignorance in the extreme because they dont even realise they are also insulting Middle Eastern Christians God also named Allah.
