Allah, Yahweh, or Jehovah

Well suffice it to say the Muslims and the Koran state quite clearly that they worship the God of Abraham, Isaac and Moses etc etc, so unless its all some big conspiratorial lie, Muslims worship the same God as Jews.

I wouldn't conclude from the etymological distinction between three words that muslims have "their own separate God and he hates Jews", that seems like a few bridges too far. I mean, from my perspective relatively few Christians refer to God very often using the tetragrammaton, at least historically, despite the fact that it's made a bit of a comeback. But I don't think the fact that more Christians have used "theos" or "God" or even "Jesus" than have used the tetragrammaton means that Christians have a different God. Just different terminology.

Many Christians do have their own separate God; Jesus. Who is certainly not worshiped by Jews or Muslims, however God the Father, who Jesus prayed to, JWVH, and Allah are all at least claimed to be the same God. And I think that is true.

I find it somewhat amusing that we go from you taking the distinction between words as arguing against muslims' self-understanding about the God they worship to immediately asserting that the self-understanding of those Christians who think of Jesus as being incorporated into the identity of that God is wrong and doesn't count. :)

Jews and Muslims do not believe God has existed as a person on earth, no. SOME Christians believe God in heaven and Jesus are one and the same, SOME Christians believe Jesus is the Son of God in Heaven, and so divine. Muslims and Jews do not believe this, so The Muslim and Jewish God have more in common, than SOME Christians interpretation of Jesus BEING God.

Yahweh is not Hebrew, its English, a poor attempt at translating Hebrew. And Allah is the Arabic name for the God of Abraham, not some generic "god".

Well the Muslim god "Allah" is a seperate god, from the One True God. It is a false god. Along with Muhammad being a false prophet.

You can reject Islam as a religion, you can reject Mohammad as a prophet, but to call Allah a false God you are calling the God Of Israel a false God, because Allah is simply the Arabic name for the God of Israel, whether you like it or not. Now claiming Jesus is the God of Israel, that is making Jesus into a false God, so if you worship a false God its not surprising you would try to label the God of Israel (JHVH/ALLAH) a false God.

IMHO you're delusional, read about it, even if you think Islam is a false religion, God is not a false God, Allah is the Arabic word for the God of Abraham, look it up in a dictionary if you don't believe me.

Chrodes; Educate yourself, here's the Wikipedia link for ALLAH, if you scroll down to the section labeled Christianity you will see this statement;

Arabic-speakers of all Abrahamic faiths, including Christians and Jews, use the word "Allah" to mean "God".[5] The Christian Arabs of today have no other word for "God" than "Allah".[22] (Even the Arabic-descended Maltese language of Malta, whose population is almost entirely Roman Catholic, uses Alla for "God".) Arab Christians, for example, use the terms Allāh al-ab (الله الأب) forGod the Father, Allāh al-ibn (الله الابن) for God the Son, and Allāh al-rūḥ al-quds (الله الروح القدس) for God the Holy Spirit. (See God in Christianity for the Christian concept of God.)

So unless you're going to claim that Arab Christians and Jews are worshiping a false God, Allah, you're whole argument has just bit the dust.

It's not that I don't believe you that "Allah" was meant to refer to the God of Abraham, but God has one true name. After the Babylonian captivity this all was mixed around. The languages of that time were refurbished with new ways of speaking. Such as the letter E and L. They did not come into language until the Babylonian captivity. To me, it's like creating another god, if you don't use the correct name. If I called Bob, Jacob. Do you think that Bob would like that? He would want to be called by his real name. I've gone to other countries, and they refer to me by my name. Not a translated version of it.

Okay however, Arabic wasn't the language of the time. Hebrew was the main language of the time.
