In regards to the two aussies that were executed....it drives me batty insane that people are so morally outraged by this event but care not for the so many other executions and deaths of actually innocent people around the world every single day.

Far too general a statement, it drives me mad you are more worried about cultures where this is accepted than worry about your own citizens.
My objection to the Indonesian executions are they are purely a political stunt like Ryans hanging in the 1960's under Bolte in Victoria, which in outrage, ended capital punishment for good in Australia.
I feel sad for all the others caught up in primitive regimes and executions overseas but I cannot do any thing about them. So I will contribute to helping those I can.
Moral - do not live in or visit those countries.
Cheers

Why do you think that people don't care? It should be expected that unusual events will cause more of an uproar then things to be expected. People get decensitized.

Lack of reports, lack of commentary, lack of articles etc.

This comes along and literally everyone was talking about, it was all over social media as well as the news.

Stuff like the nepal tragedy, people getting executed or murdered unjustly in other countries like saudi arabia, etc
I'm confused. Both of those examples are all over the news. In the US, or at least in D.C. where I live, they are discussing those issues constantly. Granted, I go out of my way to get news from various sources, but I hear about those stories all the time lately.

Oh ... I'm sorry. I'm an idiot. So, there really is no coverage of those things in Australia?

There was but it was minimal. Everytime I heard the news or caught the tv news it was talking about the bali 9 and the executions of our 2 australian drug dealers.

I think repeat offenders for things like violent acts or rape especially toward children, handicapped or elderly should be considered for death penalty. It won't be a deterrent or punishment but protection of the people.

I would argue that a serial rapist towards anyone could be a candidate.
