That is because they had two different ways of recording. One was for instantaneous transmission. At that time, and over that distance, only low res video could be transmitted. That video was taken for analysis when they returned to Earth.

In fact you will see that the very earliest of video was extremely poor and they kept improving since they had a need for better videos. That is what is to be expected.

And no, I am not presumptuous at all. I have yet to meet a rational conspiracy theorist.
