Am I a conservative?

I think the main idea is not to look like a hypocrite... moreso than limiting freedoms to feel however one wants about an issue. Naturally, many decisions go into voting, more than just being black or white. Many people feel many ways about many issues.... but one must also realize that not standing behind whatever values one does have can make life that much harder if you want someone to listen to you.

PS sorry for this minor digression... I don't know what I am on the political scale...

If you have only two things to choose from there is no real choice. It's like asking if you want tea or coffee, and if you pick tea, then you can't ever have a cup of coffee or a slice of coffee cake or milk, and you must like lemon .....etc

Which is why America is having trouble these days ;)

Haha Buttons, that is one of the main reasons I hate America (I actually mentioned it in my other thread but I cut it out for some reason here). I just remembered a lot of people (liberals, of course) making fun of me and calling me "conservative," so I figured I'd go ahead and ask if my ideas were really that unique or if I was just another conservative.
I had my own term for what I was before people started making fun of me for being "too conservative" =(. I called myself a "balconist," after the quote I made up:
You Americans have your Conservatives on the Right side of the room and your Liberals on the Left, both of whom do nothing but tear the other down. I'm up in the balcony, looking down and laughing at you both.

Unfortunately it's beginning to look like I'm too conservative to form my own party D=.

"Balconist" I like that... I have been called a conservative for many of my views, but also a liberal for others... I just say I am for small government and big Liberty. I don't concern myself with labels... I will let others consider me what they may. I will just be me...:)
