Americans Change Their Mind About Donald Trump's Border Wall

I say build it. I don't care if they come in as long as they come in legally.

Americans Change Their Mind About Donald Trump's Border Wall

"More than 50 percent of Americans now support the construction of a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, according to a survey that showed a dramatic increase in public concern over illegal immigration.

According to the Monmouth University poll, 53 percent of American adults say they "favor" building a wall along the southern border against 46 percent who are opposed and 1 percent who are unsure. The figures represent a stark turnabout from April 2019, during Donald Trump's presidency, when 56 percent were opposed and only 42 percent in favor."

I object to calling it Donald Trump's border wall. It isn't his, it belongs to all Americans.

Surely, we could melt down the statue of liberty for use in constructing the wall, since we no longer need something proclaiming this view.

"Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

I'm all for a secure border, but it seems that a lot of this is issue is built in hysteria misinformation.

In 2007, a man on his honeymoon in Europe contracted antibiotic resistant tuberculosis in Europe. On trying to return, he was told he could not fly into the US. Instead, he flew into Canada and then simply drove across to the US.

Why just a southern wall? Why not an entire wall?

Since the concern over the border with Canada is almost non-existent, that would be my choice to cross if I were some sort of foreign person with nefarious intent.
