This may be the wrong place to say this, so excuse me if that is so. However, I must say that this is a refreshingly tolerant and wise forum. I find that quite rare in religious based fora. I have been reading several threads and am quite impressed by the general tone of civility I see, even among those with differing beliefs.

Hat's off to you all. I am happy to have found this forum!

Sincerely,
Michael (which, by the way, means "he who is like the lord!" How ironic that is to me) ;)

Yes, we magnanimously tolerate low creatures with inferior & childish beliefs,
treating them with snarky condescension at best, & bile laden scorn at worst.
Cheers & welcome aboard! Cute avatar, btw.
And feel free to post bad limericks....need some help here.

A revolting ode to colorful clowns losing lunch

Tis a wonderful place to discuss
philosophical stuff with no fuss.
May your interest pique
& you find what you seek
while you're driving that porcelain bus.

Hmmm...
A clown vomiting his stuff in the "oval office"... An apt commentary on the last presidency...

I can't disagree with you there! How did Americans feel when they realised their President was a joke all around the world? I had a book which recorded the sayings of George W Bush, it would have been funny if it hadn't been for the fact America is a leading superpower and he had his finger on the button! You did wonder how someone so lacking in brain cells could actually become President, but money speaks I suppose!

Are you kidding? Nobody poked more fun at Bush then Americans.

But wasn't it an embarrassment to have a bad joke for a President? He must have had enough supporters to do two terms!?

Well he stole the first election. And no, not for me, I was more worried about what he was doing to my America, to worry about what people abroad thought.

"He must have had enough supporters to do two terms!?"

There was one good thing Bush did for the American people. He showed us what can happen if we, as a people, become to apathetic to politics.

There once was a man from Barbados
who was glad to see no tornados
he had no fear
with hurricanes near
for what we can't see
won't hurt us

My most vituperative posts get deleted but I have been known to reveal my claws under my cloak at times. At any rate this forum isn't as boring as it first appears. If you can laugh at yourself you will be OK here.
