An Impressive Forum!

This may be the wrong place to say this, so excuse me if that is so. However, I must say that this is a refreshingly tolerant and wise forum. I find that quite rare in religious based fora. I have been reading several threads and am quite impressed by the general tone of civility I see, even among those with differing beliefs.

treating them with snarky condescension at best, & bile laden scorn at worst.

I can't disagree with you there! How did Americans feel when they realised their President was a joke all around the world? I had a book which recorded the sayings of George W Bush, it would have been funny if it hadn't been for the fact America is a leading superpower and he had his finger on the button! You did wonder how someone so lacking in brain cells could actually become President, but money speaks I suppose!

Well he stole the first election. And no, not for me, I was more worried about what he was doing to my America, to worry about what people abroad thought.

There was one good thing Bush did for the American people. He showed us what can happen if we, as a people, become to apathetic to politics.
