I very much enjoyed Samuel, Kings, and Isaiah, although I've yet to read the three-volume Isaiah set end to end. Do you have any thoughts on how Anchor compares with NICOT? (I rather like their two-volume Genesis.)By the way, I've read a good deal of the [so-called] Old Testament / Hebrew Bible commentaries and they are quite good. It's a bit out of my speciality now, but I've read the Anchor Bible on Genesis, Jeremiah, and Isaiah recently. They are actually worth purchasing in my opinion (I've bought them after reading them in the library).
I'm interested in your opinion if you get around to reading any of the Hebrew Bible stuff. Sadly I don't have time to expand on that end for a while.

I only wish.I'm not sure if this has happened to you, but commentaries for me now bring together material that I've already read.
