So, is Lord Buddha really an incarnation of Lord Vishnu? Or was that just done to try and convert Buddhists into the Hindu fold?

So, Buddhists are Hindus then?Hinduism♥Krishna;3631115 said:No dear , he was really an incarnation of vishnu . It is stated in many puranas AND I know about Bhagavata Purana.
It is not necessarily an invasion, it could be migration over a few hundred years. If this is untruth, kindly give your view on the large Aryan presence in Central Asia and the similarity of language and traditions in Zoroastrianism and Hinduism? There is nothing wrong if it were true. There is no proof this happened, rather more proof that it did not happen. In addition, the collective conciousness of old India has no invasions recorded. Such a large impact would certainly not be forgotten. Unfortunately, the impact of this false history runs quite deep.
Are Christians Jews? Jesus was born a Jew. He went by law and wanted law to be observed. Later his followers departed from the mother religion. Similarly Buddha was born a Hindu. He wanted to re-establish dharma. Later his followers departed from the mother religion. Hindus recognized the values of Buddha's teachings. By common belief, he was accepted as an avatara even before the time of SrimadBhagawatham. Some Hindus do consider Buddhism as part of Hinduism. It does not matter if Buddhists differ on this point. So, Buddhists are Hindus then? I am using this example to illustrate a point to the debate going on for the past 2 pages...

Yes, hindus are not in Central Asia. If you would have been there, you would also have faced conversion to Islam as happened to nearly one-third of the Indian population and gave rise to Pakistan and Bangladesh. Would people in an Islamic country be worshiping Vedic Gods? Will they not be put to death immediately? Will people who have been separated for more than 5,000 years still be worshiping the same Gods? There are many similarities in European pagan Gods and Vedic Gods, Zeus (Dyavah) and Ouronos (Varuna) being outstanding examples. For more similarities you may read http://www.vaidilute.com/books/tilak/tilak-12.html, Comparative Mythology. Do you realize that Vedas do not mean demons when they mention Asuras? All Vedic Gods are called Asuras in hundreds of Vedic hymns, Indra, Vishnu, Rudra, Agni, Soma, Ashwins, etc. I realize it is futile to discuss this with 'chauvinist Hindus' and 'koopa mandukas'.Hinduism♥Krishna;3631275 said:Aryan ie hindus are found only in India. There is no any country other than India which worships vedic gods. No any european performs any vedic rituals like yadnya. Even they can not pronounce the veda's sanskrit and they are calling themselves aryans? Fire plays an important role in the religion of the Zoroastrians too, but they worship Ahura (Asura) Mazda ( nonñvedic evil) .
