What you think of it?

Basically you have a girl who is very attached to the egg. And a guy who seems more less religious, so he is more of a doubter who the girl meets later on. He tells the story of the flood of Noah. And because she doesnt go along with his beliefs, he smashes her egg. She gets torn apart, and destroys her child faith basically. Then she jumps off a cliff and turns into a adult female. And then she turns into a statue

The movie itself i dont think knows what it wants to be. But its a interesting art project.

What you think of it?

Anime tends to be philosophical, and it tries to integrate ideas from around the world. Sometimes it considers the concept of forgiveness, sometimes other things. I think it has to do with the way WW2 ended which kind of blew a lot of minds over there, but Japanese have always been curious about the ideas of other cultures. Even when they were forbidden by the Shogunate from interacting with foreigners, they still had a fascination for all things. That, too, carries over in anime. There's a very serious consideration of all things from reality to morality, and you see it expressed in serious anime. This story of Noah has many echoes in it, such as a possible connection to the nukes that fell in Japan; which I think nobody living in Japan would be likely to miss. Those nukes fell and Japanese culture was instantly changed, perhaps forever and violently. In a way they were wiped out in a flood though not literally. That's my spin on it.

There are other echoes, such as the appearance of the gun, or the invasion by China sometime in the past and so on. Japan has endured some big floods and near destruction multiple times. Now that I think about it, its almost perfect that Japan is the country to invent Godzilla movies.

except the recent one "Godzilla Vs King Kong" i wanted to see it, til i saw the trailer with the wonder child? I mean its monsters destroying stuff. How hard is it to make it about that, so that was a deal breaker for me. No wonder child who talks to giant apes or lizard. NO just the crazy fight and military trying to stop it. And thats it
