I think plants do feel pain. They are certainly alive, so they are killed.
What anatomical structures associated with pain do plants have?
How would pain benefit a sessile, largely non-motile organism? Why would it evolve a complex, useless capacity?

You're mistaking reaction to stimuli for perception of pain. Of course plants react to damage, signal each other, &c, but that's not the same as a mammal's conscious perception of pain.
It's been said many types of humans can't feel pain either. So what? Why be plant-ist?
