Not when it implies nothing can be done and often related to 'being born as such'. Why not use some other term that was not so loaded - and where change/development might be available? The term just sounds too religious and irredeemable, and is often used this way. I think it is evil to do so.

If something is actually innate, can anything be "done" ?

I don't view the word in generally any other way than the dictionary examples I cited above. I don't see it as necessarily religious in nature; it depnds on the context of its use.

It's possibly innate, but if it isn't and something can be done then a mistake might be made - so that is the context as to it not being useful. We all tend to use words to mean what we hope they mean in the context. I don't like the word because it is mostly condemning and dismissive without often being useful.

I don't think evil is innate, I see it as a subjective descriptive term that is all.

The first six have been disproved to my satisfaction. The last four are not proven to my satisfaction (they are unfalsifiable).

Pretty much my opinion, except that prayer does work - in a limited sense.
