Antitheism?

I noticed there seems to be a small number of Antitheists here, and I just wanted know what others thought about this theological position.

I am gonna ask two general questions, but feel free to give any input you like.

What are the difference between Antitheism and Atheism?

Is Antitheism a rational position?

Atheism says no gods exist is true. Anti theism says no gods exist is true and the belief in non existent gods is harmful.

It seems to be mostly emotion-driven and taken up by angry, hurting people.
I think this is a correlation that can be explored. Religion can general can be said to be an emotion-driven and many of those religions are taken up by angry people. I think the reason for this is that people on both sides are very opinionated at what is causing harm. Imagine how you would feel toward ideology that you believed was causing harm to you, your family, your pets. (Not that religion or lack of religion is causing harm to your pets, just because I know you have a love for animals), you might be angry or at least appear so.

But I don't think that anger is a prerequisite for antitheism or for religions.

Usually anti-theism is part of a political movement that views particular theists as a problem group. I think of major political movements when I think of anti-theism.

Is Antitheism a rational position?
Its a word that sounds nonsensical. It appears to mean that someone becomes an activist against theists and their actions rather than against God. If they were to take action against God they'd be theists.

But they don't take actions against god, they take action against the belief in gods.

As others have stated - now that anti-theism is established as being opposed to theism - I think it's a ridiculous stance. It's as problematic and nosey as zealots who preach against non-believers. Only here it's zealous preaching against believers.

It is always best to ask what someone means by the term when they use it, but when I see someone identifying as "anti-theist" it reads to me as a position of bigotry akin to being racist, sexist, homophobic, etc. And while bigotry always has its rationale (humans are good at rationalizing anything, after all), to call it a "rational position" does a disservice to the term.
