Any Advice?

I am way better off than before. I think I have overcome my depression to a great extent. I think I have many things that is needed for a good life. But I feel that something is missing and that spoils it all. Whenever I think about it, which I can't help, I realise that whatever is this feeling of happiness it is just a cover up. I can guess what I want but maybe it will take time or not happen at all. But sometimes I do wonder whether my assumption is right or is it something else that I can't figure out? Or is everything is alright the way it is? Any advice? Thank you.

Happiness which is a cover up is still happiness. It makes sense to address any underlying difficulties, but take enjoyment where you find it.

What you are looking for is inside of you.
Only you can answer the question of what is missing.

I think I know it. But I doubt whether I will have it. The thing is I feel scared that if that happens how will I go on? Will I be the same as now? Because it is this 'hope' that's actually helping me to move on. Is that unhealthy?

What you are feeling is perfectly normal.
You just don't know how to understand it.
This feeling is a gift.
It is to be explored so that you can heal.
Once you find healing you will better understand what it is that you want.
All things are found within.

Is the missing piece 'spiritual fulfilment'?

Service adds purpose, meaning and a sense of worth to people's lives.
And it brings inner joy too...

You mean by helping people? I am sort of a misanthrope. Although the ones who know me says I am quite helpful, I have mixed feelings about it. Because I can't follow a very true Indian saying that translates into something like this- If you help someone out, throw that 'help' in the river after the work is done. It simply means help out others but don't expect anything from them.

Happiness is somewhat transitory by nature. Nurturing healthy habits that recreate it often is very much advisable.

Maybe it's not something you're missing, but something you have that you should let go of... fear of success and change for the better. Especially because you see things improving. We all have that at some point.
