any muslims against polygamy

No, God has expectations (much like parents do) and we can either follow them or not.

There's a huge difference though, parents don't send their kids to burn for an eternity when they don't meet expectations.

If one doesn't follow Islam, can they call themselves a Muslim?

But we are not his children and god is the all beneficent and the most merciful.
but if someone chose hell by his choice, then he deserve it.

if your son didn't want to listen to you and he used drugs, then itsn't your problem that
he through himself to the path of destruction.

God warns and we choice,no one to be blamed, except one's self.

[On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought (74:38)

[Be conscious, then, of] the Day when every human being shall come to plead for himself [alone] and every human being shall be repaid in full for whatever he has done, and none shall be wronged. (16:111)

"Today, then, no human being shall be wronged in the least, nor shall you be requited for aught but what you were doing [on earth]. (36:54)

lest any human being should say [on Judgment Day], "Alas for me for having been remiss in what is due to God, and for having been indeed one of those who scoffed [at the truth]!" – (39:56)

WHOEVER does what is just and right, does so for his own good; and whoever does evil, does so to his own hurt: and never does God do the least wrong to His creatures. (41:46)

[and he will be told:] "Read this thy record! Sufficient is thine own self today to make out thine account!" (17:14)

BEHOLD, from on high have We bestowed upon thee this divine writ, setting forth the truth for [the benefit of all] mankind. And whoever chooses to be guided [thereby], does so for his own good, and whoever chooses to go astray, goes but astray to his own hurt: and thou hast not the power to determine their fate. (39:41)

Every human being is bound to taste death: but only on the Day of Resurrection will you be requited in full [for whatever you have done] – whereupon he that shall be drawn away from the fire and brought into paradise will indeed have gained a triumph: for the life of this world is nothing but an enjoyment of self-delusion. (3:185)

And leave to themselves all those who, beguiled by the life of this world, have made play and passing delights their religion; but remind [them] herewith that [in the life to come] every human being shall be held in pledge for whatever wrong he has done, and shall have none to protect him from God, and none to intercede for him; and though he offer any conceivable ransom, it shall not be accepted from him. It is [people such as] these that shall be held in pledge for the wrong they have done; for them there is [in the life to come] a draught of burning despair, and grievous suffering awaits them because of their persistent refusal to acknowledge the truth. (6:70)

There are those of us who choose neither heaven or hell. Is that a problem?

Or, he received some very bad parenting and the fault may lie with me. I still wouldn't wish anything as maniacal, absurd and vicious as wanting my son to burn for an eternity.

That is one of the major differences between humans and gods, we humans live by morals and ethics and love our children unconditionally.

God warns and we choice,no one to be blamed, except one's self.

Then, God is little more than a selfish, petty dictator.

 What has this to do with the Title or the Subject?

Since the Christian scriptures do not limit how many woman's you can have i would say that Christianity does the same thing heck the prophets/messengers and sons of god who are the ''perfect'' examples had more then 2 according to your own scripture and some even 600.

Its funny talking about a fear-concept while you aren't a Muslim how can you speak for ''Us'' ? Its not Fear that we have its Love towards god and its creations the Quran is not to be read as a fearing book but as a moral book, miss-use of the laws are a way to ''fear'' people.

The Bible itself keeps ramping on the subject to follow the commandments or else we are going to hell i really don't think you have anything to say here.

Most of the patriarchs had multiple wives. I have never had a problem with it nor do I have a problem with women having multiple husbands.

I do not speak on behalf of Muslims nor Christians nor Jews. What I have related to is the history and evolution of the use of Fear in religious writing and commented on the effectivness of this ideology as a control mechanism.

Indoctrination in Islam, as with other fear based religions, is based on the Quran and the Quran uses the threat of punishment should adherents not comply.

To deny this is to deny Islam.
