hi everyone, i wanted to ask what an "initial a" is. is it a big A or just a small a?

It's a capital A, usually with a period after it. Like my initials would be B. A. (Blayze Armstrong).

Initial just means first. If a sentence begins with an 'a' it is capitalised because it's the initial/first letter of a sentence.
