Anyone Watching New Documentary, "American Gods"?

Please, easy on the spoilers. I've just watched episode one (please don't tell to not read these posts because you know I'm an RF ho).
OK, I'll hold off on all the interesting parts.
Remarkable cinematography and religious historicity though, and it's fun figuring out which gods are being represented.

I watched the entire season. Although I almost stopped watching it near the end, I am glad I finished watching the last couple of episodes. It is not the best show I have ever seen, but it has its moments.

New season of American Gods has started.
I'm watching it now.

My advice...
Never attend a meeting where the leader has a baseball bat.

Of course, I was very interested in the premise of the series (Neil Gaiman's books rarely meet my literary needs, so I've only loosely browsed them so far) - the question of how the gods of different cultures are faring in modern times is not uninteresting.

I've just finished the first season (if I understand correctly, there probably won't be a satisfying end to the series as season 4 has been cancelled?), and my impression is multi-layered:

Basically, the series seems to focus too much on sex scenes and too little on the multifaceted nature of the gods. I mean: I wouldn't say anything against sex scenes! But what irritates me at least is that Odin seems to be travelling without the rest of the Æsir, Vanir (and Jötnar?) and prefers to cherry-pick individual gods from different cultures. (Not that Vulcan doesn't have a Norse equivalent, but the warband that's about to emerge still seems a bit too colourful to me).

At least Laura is quite attractive, which I appreciate.
