Hi there. I have a question.

I liked a website and I want to translate it into Turkish. But I couldn't save the page and edit it. See:

Instruction of Prayers - Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi

It says something about flash player when I right click on it.

And my question is, is there a way, maybe a software with which I can save it and edit the texts there?

Thanks in advance.

I always copy the text and then paste it to MSWord as text. This insures I don't get any malicious software. I never download from a Web page that tells me I need to. I am always worried it is a virus.

I would generally just ignore the web site and try to find the information elsewhere.

I see. But I do trust this website. We have only a dozen marja (Grand Ayatollahs) in the world. And their websites have to be virus free. lol. I trust in the office of Grand Ayatullah Makarem Shirazi.

Anyway, sadly this flash thingies don't allow us to copy the text and edit them. But, copying of the text does not matter here though, because I will write it from the scratch in Turkish. The problem here is that, I want to be able to use the same pictures and cool design but I can't.

Hi Matemkar,

The problem is that the text isn't actually on the page itself. Instead, it's in an embedded video. So when you click on the text, what you're actually getting is the video player.

You probably get options like Play or Loop.

I haven't tried this myself, so can't verify how effective it is, etc, but find below a link to an explanation of some options you have;

Sorry if I wasn't clear. My aim is not to copy the text. I won't use the text. My aim rather it is to edit it (translating into Turkish), while keeping the pictures and cool animation-transitions the same.

Oh, right...sorry, I misunderstood.
I don't think it's possible, to be honest.

I might be wrong on that. I dabble with webpages, etc, but I'm not expert. But as far as I know, you'd need access to the original video to do what you're trying to do.

You could try something like this?
How To Download Embedded Flash Files Using Your Browser

Ultimately, you need to get your hands on the video, then you'd have the ability to copy and translate text, then re-insert into the video. At least, that's my take on it.
