Get a few of those things, they are probably going to become worth millions in a hundred years . ;0)

Anyways wasn't there a minted presidential collection minted years ago?

Regardless of who is printed on them, more often than not they're only worth the metal they're minted with.

Yes it is. This does not detract from the point that the currency is backed by nothing beside agreements over it's value. If these agreements break down the USD is just fancy paper.

How else should a currency be supported except as traded on the world market relative to economic forces in today's world

If the economy is bad than like in Venazuala $1.00 will get you 100,000,000,000 whatever.

The court appoves "in God we trust" on US currency but disapproves the teaching of creationism in US schools and the display of 10 commandments on government property... go figure that logic out.

We're talking about government.
Gigantic corporations are no different and no better. I speak from experience having worked for an agency of the federal government for a short time and a major bank and a phone company.

Small business has to be better or go out of business.

And I'll pick Medicare over private insurance every time having suffered through what private health insurance can be like multiple times and known people who have literally had to fight health insurance company bureaucracy for their very lives.

If you automatically ascribe negative things to government (or positive for that matter), you are putting ideology ahead of reality and confirmation bias over the facts.

The God of money, how appropriate. Once again it was atheists doing a favor to theists by fighting this.

Gold standard.

The standards using precious metals may have been useful in the past, but the amount of precious metals in the world is minuscule in meeting the needs for vast amounts of money and the size of the economies in today's world. Today's precious metals are far more useful in industry and technology.

Yeah, yeah. “Man is the measure of all things.” So what’s your point?

It’s kind of a package deal. If you want the benefits of a society you also have to accept the price of being a member of that society.
Christians don't seem to grasp that.
You'd be surprised by how many don't think that equal rights extends to everyone, including queers.

Because it's high time activist judges were at least not liberal judges. Mwa-haha!
You mean, manipulate the courts to stack it in favor of one group over another, such as not confirming a justice deliberately for one whole year? Is cheating and lying for Jesus, Christian in your book? Where is love in all this? I don't see it. I'm quite sure Jesus would be surprised to see the Pharisees now calling themselves Christians. Or, actually, maybe not. ;) It was about power over others then, and it is now. None of which is Christian in the least.

Big corporations never tried to arrest or draft me.
Government has far more power, & is less accountable. So I’ll be more wary of it.
