Arab Proverb "If you have much give your wealth, if you have little give your heart"

I saw this saying written with some other inspirational sayings. I liked it and wanted to share it with you. I realize it isn't Muslim scripture but it has good to say.

If any of you know other Arab proverbs, please add to this thread with those and I would be pleased to read them.

With Regards,
God is Love

Hi God is Love, I'd love to contribute to this thread, here are a couple:

Dwell not upon thy weariness, thy strength shall be according to the measure of thy desire.

Examine what is said, not him who speaks.

Make your bargain before beginning to plow.

I descided to look at this post today because I was anxious to see if there were any proverbs added. I gain so much wisdom from Proverbs like the one I posted, I was hoping for more. When I looked, you surprised me with more wise sayings. I was delighted and read them and gained more wisdom, thanks to you.

I also loved your personal greeting to me. Just saying "Hi" made me feel good. :dan:
You have lifted my spirits and given me some much needed strength for today.

I love the Proverb

"Dwell not upon thy weariness, thy strength shall be according to thy desire"

and

"Examine what is said, not him who speaks"
That is true.

People aren't perfect and yet they may have pieces of truth so when a person wants to share, it's a good idea to think about what is being shared. It may hold some truth and provide us with some wisdom that may be useful in our lives.

If you have more PLEASE add. I write them on a paper that I keep of wise sayings.

I didn't have much time today to respond but you have made it worth my time.

You are mostly welcome God is love :), glad to hear you are happy, it makes me happy too. I am also so much grateful to see there still exist people in this world with so much kindliness. I hope this will be a great day for you, and your beloved ones. Here are some more of the proverbs:

A promise is a cloud; fulfillment is rain.

Never speak ill of the dead.

Live together like brothers and do business like strangers.

Bismillah Ar Rahman Ar Raheem

SAY: "O you who deny the truth! I do not worship that which you worship, and neither do you worship that which I worship! And I will not worship that which you have [ever] worshipped, and neither will you [ever] worship that which I worship. Unto you, your moral law, and unto me, mine !"

Let us continue this thread with 3 more beautiful proverbs :) :

“We learn little from our succeses, but a lot from our failures”

“Follow the advice of those who make you crie, never of those who make you laugh”

“Write bad things that are done to you in sand, but write the good things that happen to you on a piece of marble”

First,
Thanks Nehustan for the "karma frubals"

I like your addition
"If you can change a wrong with your hand change it, if not then change it with your mouth, if you can do naught else change it with your head and heart."

and

"The difference is the difference you make"

Since you, "Nehustran", "Peace" and "Judgement Day" have added more for my sake, I thought I should pay you in kind and search the internet to share some with you, especially because you seem to enjoy it. These are those I found.

This is attributed to the Prophet Mohammed in the work of "Ryad al-Falahin
"The Gardens of the Righteous" by Al-Nawawi
"None of you will be considered believers if you do not love your neigbour as yourselves."

This is very good advice
"There is no point in running, one should leave on time"
These are the Arabic words
Man taanna adraka ma tamanna

""Every knot has someone to untie it."

"It is wise to bring some water, when one goes looking for water."

"On departing one, leave behind good deeds."

"Experience are the glasses of the mind."

If you do not know any more Arab Proverbs, share some Proverbs from Mohammed

Love, God is Love

I'll be looking next week

It's okay if you don't know any more, at least I'm getting to know you.:)
