Arabic word for 'Stranger'

Gharib

I want Khilafah back
Assalamu alaykum to all.

I have been meaning to change my username and I would like to change it to 'Stranger' but in the arabic word and not the english.

From google translate, it says that it is 'Gharib'. If it is so I am guessing if I make it Al Gharib it will make it to 'The Stranger'

Can someone please confirm if the correct word is Gharib, as I know that Ghuraba means 'Strangers' (plural).

Jazak Allah khairun for the help.

Love this nasheed.

It's correct brother. Gharib is stranger and if you add the "al" to "gharib" it becomes the stranger.

Jazak Allah khair sister. I think I will go with just Gharib. It doesn't seem right to have it as Al Gharib for some reason as I am not the only stranger out there.

Yes I love that hadith. I have read commentaries to it also and it has been explained quite well.
