I appreciate Vodou, but I'm not 'into it', and don't consider myself knowledgeable about it.
I have a friend that knows much more than I, and I enjoy hearing her talk on it.

I have no cultural or personal connection to African religions or those of the African diaspora. And while I'm not opposed to syncretism on principle, it would be extremely strange for me to "culturally appropriate" any of it given that. Besides, I have my own reconstructed indigenous religion I practice.
