Are Christians being persecuted in the US?

No, Christians are not persecuted in the USA. Those who believe so are fundamentalists. They are embattled toward modernity. In many ways they are innovtive and not traditional as Christians. They seeem to have lost a thread of continuity doctrinally, in worship styles, and emphasis. Their very literal view of scripture is modernistic, rooted in enlightenment values of logic and reason. Such views are a far cry from the historical and cultural background of the ancients produced the Bible. It is their resemblence to and yet their fear of modernity that has embattled fundamentalists and exaggerated their fears.
