Are Jehovah's Witnesses False Prophets?

Thanks for the reply as you yourself are a JW. You do however only seem to reply to two parts of my question. The question was on the knowledge propagated on four elements of the faith, these being Jahweh, Jehehsuah, Ruach Elohim, and of course Eloah. These four are instrisictly linked and in fact are interrelated. I have often wondered as the JW 'bear witness to Jahweh' what there position is on these four and as I said the general knowledge base. I do hope that such things are not considered 'secret' as I do dislike religions that believe in knowledge as social capital and its control.

Thanks again
no secrets, any one can go to any kingdom hall in any part of the world and learn accurate bible knowledge . but most people are not interested in accurate knowledge , but that is their choice ,they can never say that they have not had the chance to learn about what we believe , because we make it known in puplic meetings and bible based magazines and also we go from door to door as the early christians did to offer people free home bible studies

Luke 21:8

He replied: "Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am he,' and, 'The time is near.' Do not follow them.

How many times have the JW's spoke of when the end will come? Even Jesus does not know the time of the end.

10The disciples came to him and asked, "Why do you speak to the people in parables?" 11He replied, "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.

Are Jehovah's Witnesses False Prophets? I doubt it, I think that they believe what they preach.

Excellent point, just because someone believes something doesn't make it right. If what they believe is a false belief, then those that push said belief, are indeed false prophets and worse.

I don't think that JW's are any more false prophets than any other faith. No one has a corner on 'truth', no matter what their beliefs. I think that most of them really believe what they are trying to preach. I also think that most Christians believe what they are trying to preach too. However, that doesn't make it the 'Truth', only their interpretation of the truth. That being said, I don't think I could call any group 'false prophets'. I have yet to see a JW or a Mormon organize a group of people and then get them to commit suicide or to do what the Koresh group did. I don't think they are in the same category as Jones and Koresh.

I have to give JWs props... they believe very strongly in their faith, and have verses to back up the way they view things...

but you also have to think about how other people have evidence to support their claims as well. Anything can be twisted to say what we want it so say. Language is very powerful with the right viewpoint...

Keep on the watch, therefore, because YOU do not know on what day YOUR Lord is coming.

"But know one thing, that if the householder had known in what watch the thief was coming, he would have kept awake and not allowed his house to be broken into. On this account YOU too prove yourselves ready, because at an hour that YOU do not think to be it, the Son of man is coming

" (Matthew 24:42-44)

"What I say to you I say to all, Keep on the watch."—Mark 13:37.

well we all know what Jesus said ,he said by their fruits you will recognize those men, so are their beliefs inline with the bible , and only the bible . and are they keeping on the watch to the times that we live in , or have they fallen asleep to where we are in the stream of time . are they doing the work that Jesus left them to do?
Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things. matthew 28;19-20

And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come. matthew 24;14

"What I say to you I say to all, Keep on the watch."—Mark 13:37. ..........keeping on the watch to bible prophecy is the inportant thing to do because then we do not miss the signs and miss out on all of the things the bible reveals

I left the organization in 1981 as did many others. I do know they have changed some views and policies. I am currently still recovering from my association with them. I did gain a lot of bible knowledge during my association with them but in time came up with many questions that I did not feel I could freely discuss with the Elders without getting disfellowshipped. In time I did not care anymore. I am now reading a "In Search of Christian Freedom" writtenby Raymond Franz. He is a former member of the Govering Body of Jehovah's Witnesses. I wish I had read this book when it first came out. It has been very informative and a pleasure to read. I recommend it to any JW or student of the Bible. However Iam sure it is one of those the JW's Governing Body has banned the Witnesses from reading.
you can't be disfellowshiped for discussing matters with the elders.

oh my. you never quoted the rest of that scripture which then goes against your second..point.

While he was sitting upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached him privately, saying: “Tell us, When will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?”
4 And in answer Jesus said to them: “Look out that nobody misleads YOU; 5 for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. 6 YOU are going to hear of wars and reports of wars; see that YOU are not terrified. For these things must take place, but the end is not yet.

7 “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. 8 All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress.

9 “Then people will deliver YOU up to tribulation and will kill YOU, and YOU will be objects of hatred by all the nations on account of my name. 10 Then, also, many will be stumbled and will betray one another and will hate one another. 11 And many false prophets will arise and mislead many; 12 and because of the increasing of lawlessness the love of the greater number will cool off. 13 But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved. 14 And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.

no, Jesus did not know the exact time of the end, as jehovah's witnesses do not claim, but he did give signs, which jehovah's witnesses are taking notice of..

So You are saying that the Witnesses never made claims of knowing when the end or certain other events would come occur?

to deny that would be a lie would it not? You know the answer to it. 1975 comes to mind, when apparently the ending was nigh. But does make jehovah's witnesses false prophets..no. Unfortunetly, we're still human beings and mistakes happen. You can't take the credit the governing body deserve for their studies. Ofcoruse, im sure they're much more aware of saying certain dates for this modern time.

out of curiosity, what's your beliefs now? have you a religion?
