We were asked to type in Persecution Church today during the Sunday service to learn about world wide persecution so that we can pray for them. Out of curiosity, I also google persecution muslim. Surprise surprise! For ‘persecution church’ or ‘persecution Christian’, we get the correct search of Christians being persecuted. But when you type in ‘persecution muslim’, you find MUSLIM persecuting Christians for many of the search results. So you can see how the web is being controlled by the Western Media and Christian world.

The truth is, I see little in the realm of religious persecution. It's more about land and power (and that's true on both sides).

Why isn't there an option for "ALL groups are persecuted and that really sucks and should stop ASAP!"?

Judasim and Jews form a minority of the population of the world, and anti-semetism has frequently being dicussed and argued and hence is not necessary to be included in this poll.:D

Google uses an algorithm to figure out what web pages will come up first in the google search. There are courses and books out there teaching people how to make it so their website appears first on a google search... It has nothing to do with the web being controlled by the western media and christian world, it has to do with the way people build their websites.

People can use the fun google power for good or for evil :p Type in the words "miserable failure" and you will get a link to George Bush's white house profile. 2nd link is to MIchael Moores website... People exploited the google search features to make their websites go first!

I think it's going to depend on where you are in the world. Here in America, I think Muslims are the ones affected more by persecution because Christians here are large[r] in numbers.

Atheists may be the minority in North America, but in Europe they are the majority, and at other places, Christians are definitely the minority. Hence in the morning service of my church, we prayed for a list of countries where the members of the church carried a placard beautifully painted with the country name written on it parading, mostly third world or with religion majority as other than Christians, or previous communist region or countries unfriendly with US.
I understand how a web administrator can promote a web page on google. So the chances of getting the right pages for christian persecuting muslim, and muslim persecuting christians, should theoretically be the same, if both sides of the web administrators and authors are equally knowledgeable in selling their web. From the web search results, it is clear that whether you type in 'persecuting christian' or 'persecuting muslim' will both end up with majority of the link being Muslim persecuting christian.:p
