Are muslim extremists enemies of humanity?

The Muslims that follow Isis aren't Muslims either. People love to point out the bad parts in the Quran but completely ignore good parts. The Quran already stated there us no compulsion in the religion, one shouldn't torture or kill innocents or livestock either. Muhammad was fighting against Arab pagans who were oppressing them. Not all of Islam was spread by the sword as some countries adopted it or influenced by it at least. Same with Christianity. With the holy books, I don't think it's God's word, but humans interpreting God's word.
Yeah, sure.
So why is there so much compulsion in religion in muslim societies? Why is torture so endemic in muslim countries that others send their victims there to have it done on the sly?

The best that can be said for islam is that it is ineffective in suppressing barbarity. If the bad parts cause so much harm, why would anyone care about the good parts?

Well the Lords resistance army comes to mind in Uganda which is a christian terrorist group. The kingdom of Israel was a Jewish terrorist group. Babbar khalsa is a Sikh nationalist movement involved in terrorist activities. The national liberation front of Tripura is another Christian terrorist group. You see, the are non Muslim terrorist groups but they don't count right? The lives they took don't count because they aren't on the headlines right? People really need to look at themselves before they judge others. People are just looking for reasons to hate Muslims. Those terrorists don't represent Islam. Hundreds of millions of Muslim s don't do what they do.

There are Muslims that do condemn the violence but the ignorant people are saying "Muslims don't condemn terrorism!" So loud they can't hear the muslims that are condemning it. I know enough there is good and evil in all of us, Muslim and non Muslim alike. Don't tell me you don't like them because they have messed up stuff in the Quran. Yeah, because there aren't messed up stuff in the Torah and new testament right? Even some of the Hindu texts have disturbing things. But religions today aren't the same as they were years ago. You judge a person on their actions, not because of a book written thousands of years ago.

It's time we wake up and look at the whole picture. Looking with a narrow minded view gives you a narrow minded perspective.
The Kingdom of Israel? Lol.

People are more concerned about what quite a lot of muslims are doing these days. You know, like IS, Boko Haram, al-shebab etc. All of whom quote holy writ to justify their atrocities.

What Muslims are doing nowadays? Do hundreds of millions of Muslims belong to Isis and boko haram? You judge and entire group of people for what extremists are doing? Did everyone forget that Chad, Nigeria, Egypt, Jordan and the Untied Arab Emirates, all of which who have high Muslim populations, have been fighting those Muslim extremists? I don't know why so many have forgotten that.

Sure like most (Abrahamic) religious texts it is a mix of pure hate and worthless unobjectionable platitudes, often in tension or outright contradiction with one another.

Importantly, however, Muslims do not believe that there are inconsistencies in this book, and many do not contextualize the vicious anti-apostate passages by restricting it to certain "warlike" apostates (and even then, those who do usually define "warlike" quite differently from the West).

Muslims and Christians and Jews can be great people, almost always in spite of their religious doctrines.

A lot of people will defend their scriptures despite inconsistencies. But you say "Muslims" as if to imply all Muslims have the same beliefs. Sunnis are not the same as Shi'a muslims or Sufi Muslims.

There is only a relatively small minority of Muslims who are quranists and reject the hadiths, and there is a much smaller number of Muslims who believe that the Quran contains errors, i.e., Muslims who are the functional equivalent of liberal Christians. More common are the "moderates" like Tariq Ramadan and others, who are essentially orthodox Muslims who reinterpret the religion to make it compatible with baseline liberalism.

Of course Muslims don't all hold the same beliefs. All of the Abrahamics are schismatic, it appears to be a feature of their mindset. But that doesn't mean that they're the liberals you are describing here.

All extremists are the enemies of mankind, whether they be Islamists, Fascists, Marxists or even warmongering Americans whose forays into the Middle East have resulted in the deaths of millions.

The Americans have interfered and caused more problems though of course there were problems before we were there or when iran got rid of the shah and went backwards in society, giving women and minorities less rights. When it comes to conflict the two sides aren't always totally innocent. Like with the native Americans. Some Americans killed innocent tribes, but there were tribes that were very bad and barbaric. Not all middle eastern were innocent or Americans. That's why they say there's good and evil in all groups.
