Recently two members have brought it to my attention my dots are annoying in this post The last post is the WINNER!
I don't want to be a nuisance so I want to know if I should stop. I just thought it was funny. Tagging people involved in the last post thread is the winner thread to vote

I picked <other>.
You should post according to what calls to you.

Your dots do not annoy me.
They tell me that you're reading the thread.
And they bump it.

When it comes to "annoying", I am the undisputed king.

Its not complicated, however it will take a long stretch of words to say what I think.

That thread has a tongue-in cheek humor going. Some of the members pretend to be excessively pretentious in order to humiliate common human flaws by means of eccentric caricature. As if pride were like an ugly nose they might accentuate that nose upon themselves. I suppose in the case of speaking of your (completely un-sensational) dots they were probably seeing in themselves foppish boredom eccentuated, and laughing through it at the idleness and maliciousness of people who can never see the good in anything.

Have you ever heard of the fictional works of Jane Austin in which she portrays the foppish nature of some of the wealthy classes in her times? Its sort of like the posters are seeing it in themselves and letting us watch them laugh at themselves for the sake of ... I guess either just the amusement factor or perhaps to sort through feelings about it or something like that.

Nah, just king of posting a lot. You don't come close to raising my blood pressure the way a few others do.

Now if you want to assert you're champion of the mod's "whack-a-mole" contest, I don't have access to the "whack" per post statistics so can't speak to the veracity of your assertion.

I've wondered what exactly they are, but they don't bother me.

Must be a matter of perspective thing, because I've known members and people who have irritated the hell out of me while you just disagree with me on some things. I'm not even sure if you're a pawn in this game. You may not even be a checker. You're more like having a "skip" played against you in Uno.

My kingship (kingerie? kingitude?) is based upon whom I annoy.

To @Ray Warren 's question. they started out as a fun joke. And when you vary them in response to someone else's post, you're joining in the fun because other people have taken off your 3 dots to post things in response.

But I do confess that if you do it too often, I start feeling bored and start wishing you'd post something else.

So my straight response is that it's OK in moderation but also it's nice to vary it a bit.

That I can understand...perhaps I should post less often on there?

I am Korg, a Marvel character of high political ideals, formerly a space pirate. I am in the same universe as Thing except he's a mutant from Earth, while I'm a genuine alien. Thing was a blue collar New York human completely uninterested in politics who got transformed against his will into a handsome rock monster. I was always a handsome rock monster with high sociopolitical aims, admittedly somewhat naive and trusting. I started a revolution for the good of all people. It failed, but my revolution should have succeeded. If only I had printed more pamphlets.

I still don't see king of annoyance. But I also see a lot of what got me called cold, calloused, uncaring, psychotic, and other things that couldn't be further from the truth, it's just neurotypicals don't understand. Really. They don't understand. I put the efforts to adjust how I express myself to reduce that. You bear it and keep going, apparently stronger than I in this regard.

Aye, the neurotypicals have the greatest susceptibility
to being annoyed. Their emotions are their weakness.

Just try having some fun with it. Try calling @Revoltingest stinky. He's a Scott, making him a step below me, he's a groundskeeper, knocking him down a few more rungs, and he smells like haggis and bacon grease. And he does weird orgy things with his antique machines. He'd be very guilty of animal abuse here, but we're pretty sure he's animal himself. We can't tell for sure, however, underneath all that hair.

I've had some posters vigorously object to my posting.
I'm too "dishonest", too "insensitive", too "pompous",
too "dumb", too "partisan", too this, & too that.
My response can be seen in my post count.

One may listen to others, & consider the merit of
their words. But ultimately, tis up to each of us
to post as we're compelled.

I see them as annoying like watching paint dry. Funny to start but becoming repetitive.
