Are The Original Manuscripts of New Testament Lost?

Cephus

Relentlessly Rational
I suppose I get that. My first thought was Jesus didn't write anything down either really, but he was literate, so why the heck didn't he? So no excuse for Jesus...

Why do you think Jesus, if he existed at all, was literate? Reading and writing was the job of the scribes and Pharisees, not carpenters.

Luke 4
16Then Jesus came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. As was His custom, He entered the synagogue on the Sabbath. And when He stood up to read, 17the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him. Unrolling it, He found the place where it was written:

Thanks for the explanation.

  • No salvation through Mohamed or any other prophet before or after Mohamed saws. in Islam, No salvation through any body. Everyone is directly connected to Allah. He just need to repentance his own sins and follow true belief and true prophets
Regards
This seems contradictory, if the connection to Allah is direct with no intermediary, why the need to follow the Prophets? If we need to follow the Prophets then our salvation is connected to them.

The Quran states that those who pledge allegiance to Muhammad pledge allegiance to Allah, which suggests that the way to Allah is through the Prophets.

Surah 48:10 from Yusuf Ali states;
"Verily those who plight their fealty to thee do no less than plight their fealty to Allah"

You mean these verses?

The Jews say, "Ezra is the son of Allah "; and the Christians say, "The Messiah is the son of Allah ." That is their statement from their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved [before them]. May Allah destroy them; how are they deluded? Quran 9:30

And [for] their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah ." And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain. Quran 4:157

Any others verses we should consider?
There are other verses but I'm expecting

Prophet is also a messanger he is receiving the revelation and expose it to believers. After he does so, especially after he died, he has no role as a mediator.
Messanger has no mediation role more salvation. We're litterly following the words of the Creator.
The relationship between one and Allah is direct on the way defined by the revealation
Prophet mission is accomplished once he hands on Allah s words to others

This is not a universally accepted view amongst Muslims, there are websites set up by Muslims to explain this, here is one example The Truth about Mediation in Islam | The Pen Magazine
Please consider some of the statements put forth by Muslims that believe in mediation

Such belief is due to influence of Christian and non-christian belief influence .
This is not the true belief.
Even prophet Mohammed said so before he dies. Prophet Mohammed said don't exeggorate me like Christians did with Al-Masseh, I'm just a messanger and Allah's slave.
İn Quran allh said several times that Mohammed is a messanger like previous ones, he told him also that you're responsibility end by conveying the message.
He's human, not a mediator.
There is a verse in Quran demonstrates the situation very well 2:186. How ?
There are many verses in Quran that helps prophet to answer some questions which have been asked to Prophet, in all these verses Allah said to prophet " say...." or "answer..." but in 2:86 Allah answered directly and that "I'm near" as a direct proof that no mediation in islam. Quran 2:286
And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me - .................
indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided.
