Are there any Russians here?

Not quite sure where I had to put this thread.

But I was wondering... Are there any Russians currently living in Russia on this forum?

If yes, I would love to hear from you guys how you experience this "special military operation" in Ukraine.

Tell us about it.
Do you agree with it? Do you support Putin?
What is the "word on the streets"? How does the average Russian experience this?

And also, how are the sanctions from the many countries and companies in the world affecting you, personally? How about those around you and / or the country at large?

I'm not looking to "debate" on these issues.
I'm primarily interested in how you experience it all, how it looks "from the other side of the fence".

Also, if you are afraid to speak your mind (perhaps you are worried about repercussions of the "media police" in Russia or whatever), perhaps you can let us know also simply by for example posting "no comment".

Thank you.

And in case there in fact are Russians here... whatever is being posted, please let us keep this civil and leave the fighting to the frontline.

The thing is, it's not even clear to me if Russians are still able to freely wonder around the interwebs and post on whatever forum they like.
But it's also not clear to me how many, if any, Russians were active in this forum to begin with.

And even if they are, I wonder how many would feel free to be honest about their lives given the monitoring and active suppression of freedom such as arresting all anti-war protesters even children and the elderly.

A long time acquaintance of mine used to live in Ukraine and his ex-wife and step children have been trying to escape. He has been posting on Facebook many times a day with updates. He was planning to fly over and occupy his ex-wife's house why she and her kids were evacuated, but that was cancelled for some reason. We have been reading about her experiences through Richard. He used to be the president of the USA cycling federation which is the cycling branch of the USA Olympic Committee, so he's kind of a cycling celebrity in the USA and globally. He probably won't mind me posting his name if anyone is curious about reading his posts.

There are no protests in Russia.
All are good citizens who want to stop Nazis in Ukraine
from exterminating Russian language speakers. You've
been taken in by Geroge Soros's propaganda. I've learned
so much on RF.

Some Ukrainians personal view would also be appreciated

Ukranian views are everywhere, I would like to see common peoples' views from Russia.

Could you please point it out to me "where on RF I can read them?"

At the very least, I think @Aupmanyav is correct that the OP specifically requested Russian views and not Ukrainian views.
1) Why do you phrase it like "At the very least"...do you (try to) find more faults with what I wrote or...?

Note: "At the very least" is used to indicate the least thing that is true, acceptable, desirable, or certain to...

The at the very least was directed at what @Aupmanyav wrote - even if posts by actual Ukrainians are not to be found on RF, he is at least correct in that continuous requests for such views on this particular thread are pretty much off-topic.

Are there any from Ukraine here?

Assuming that Russia hasn't cut of the entire interwebs for their population, I'ld think that Russians currently would have no issues going online since they aren't under attack and don't have their communication systems knocked out.

Although I understand also that there are lots of cyber attacks going both ways which might make going online more difficult.

He definitely did not mean that, so your reply makes no sense

You sure? The thread was intended for Russian members. You came in and asked also for Ukrainian members, rather than making a different thread. @Aupmanyav I believe opined that as the world hears more Ukrainian voices than Russian ones, it is not necessary to hear them on this thread as well. I happen to agree, considering that the topic of this thread is what do Russian RF members have to say on the situation. Do you know of any other way of interpreting the OP? Or the thread title?

I know for certain that this website has been created and is managed by Russian teachers.
Here you can read their statements about the war.

Good thread:)

RussianLessons.net strongly condemns the Russian invasion of Ukraine. It is with the greatest sadness that we watch our friends in Ukrainian being attacked for no good reason.
