Are you an atheist? if so, What is your POV about God?

Try rephrasing your "reasoning" for clarity:

- the Big Bang happened.
- therefore, __________.
- therefore, God exists.

How do you fill in the blank?
I am not filling in your blanks. You fill in your own blanks. And I'll determine if you are being reasonable or not.

:eyeroll:
avoidance mixed in with a sad weak attempt at insult...

Seems honest discussion with you is nigh impossible.
Just keeping it honest my friend.
Exactly!!!

Why?

Obviously.

Doesn't the bible speak of Adam And Eve?
Aren't they the Humanoid form that God created that are what we call today Human?
Doesn't the bible speak of other Stars as lights for planet Earth?
Doesn't the bible speak of the fact that those stars can fall down to earth?
BS...there is nothing obvious about there being life elsewhere. You're letting your imagination, or wishful thinking cloud your judgment. There is no evidence either way, and therefore, you're believe that aliens exist is no more probably than my belief that they do not exist.

Cloudy judgment = poor reasoning skills.

I think, with a high level of confidence, that God has been made up. We have examples of gods being made up all the time, and you know that. Unless you believe that the maya gods or things like apollo, thor, zeus, etc. have not been made up.

No Viole, I believe those beings existed. But I do not believe they were remotely comparable to what God is. I realize people called them gods, but they were not god's in the sense that YHWH is God.

Well, I too will reject this "evidence," and for what I consider to be a very good reason. There is no possible explanation, that I can imagine, for why an entity that exists in a completely non-physical, non-temporal way could possibly suddenly desire to create time, space and matter, and to create them in such a way that is so utterly filled with misery. So many horrible, horrible diseases caused entirely by "created" organisms -- what for? To create life so that it can die - what for?
You'll never know just how unlike you He is.

The parts I see as inaccurate are:
- discernment - you do not have in you
- it would be impossible for you to have it.
- It is very likely that you never will have it
- And, I'm okay with that.

The last one might be more in vein of harsh than inaccurate, but would also be representative of your plausibly currently lacking discernment (about own self). If you truly believe discernment is a gift from Holy Spirit, then you'd essentially have to elevate your judgment to equal to that of Holy Spirit for those things to be accurate. So, are you really (really really) wanting to go out on that limb?
I will crawl out on that limb...I'm just not sure how far I can go before it breaks.

You'll never know just how unlike you He is.
And I take it that you do? What, have you had tea together? Talked about your upcoming role in heaven? Discussed the deficiencies of my soul?

Your use of the word "know" is loose to the point of meaninglessness -- but do "know" this: your response was a 100% avoidance of answering the question put to you. I presume (undoubtedly correctly) that this is because you can't answer. So in fact, what you "know" turns out to be pretty much -- nothing.

So, I'll try it again: see if you can respond intelligently to what I wrote before:

I do. Yes, I pray to God about people lie you all the time, that your destruction comes quickly.

God is building a family. By our own choice, we shall become sons of God, or we shall not. I have made my decision, and you have made yours. Those who choose God will exist eternally in God's Kingdom, and those who do not choose God will not exist in God's Kingdom.

And you really think that's an answer to what I asked, do you? Ridiculous!

You are now making statements that are so far out of your ability to justify -- even from all the evidence available to you in the Bible itself -- that you are making yourself not worth responding to.

Oh, and once again, how did a timeless, formless entity suddenly (now that "suddenly" is confusing, without time, isn't it?) acquire a "kingdom?" This is whole cloth! This is the stuff of "I don't know so I'll invent something pretty!"

Everything you believe is based on the writings of men who knew everything there was to know about goats, and incredibly little about how the world actually works. And you've made that your axiom. Well, we all know how a silly axiom can affect the "logical" conclusion.

The "Christian" speaks!

Just how many on this forum do you pray to God to destroy quickly? How many others around the world? Do you find that mimicks Jesus at all? In what way?

(Ghandi was right: "I like your Christ. It is your Christians I do not like.")

I don't really care if it answers your question. That is my answer, like it or not.

From Gnostic Christian understanding / knowledge the entity of which you speak is the demiurge. The what for is based on the plausible idea to be something other (or better) than Creator God, and to manifest the impossible experience of separation from God, made seemingly possible by way of illusion.

I'm not a mind-reader, and your post gives no hint at how you get from "the Big Bang happened" or any of the other things you mentioned to "therefore God exists."

So God would have to spend eternity with you?

How, odd, because you don't know me any better -- and possibly not as well, since I haven't been posting here nearly as long as you and others.

So I really do find this a sadly deficient response, and one that has the effect of making your offensive statement stand -- and I quote: "Yes, I pray to God about people lie [sic] you all the time, that your destruction comes quickly."

I repeat, I don't think it reflects very well on the Saviour you claim to follow.

Atheism (or "strong" atheism, to satisfy the herds) is the position carrying the assertion that God does not exist. We don't claim infallibility of reasoning. Unlike another atheism I have read about, the assertion that strong atheism carries is capable of being judged true or false. The other form or atheism is primarily for people who are incapable of judging theological propositions true or false. How else do they get to their conclusions?

As an atheist myself, I have to respond -- I don't think you are quite accurate. I do not think it possible to judge what you call "strong atheism" either true or false. This is because it is impossible to prove the non-existence of any possible sort of God -- and most especially if there are definitions of "god" that are unknown to you.

On the other hand, I do think it is possible to disprove the "omniscient, omnipotent, omnibenevolent" sort of God presented by various Abrahamic religions, by simply pointing to the Zica virus. What "free will" is involved in a mosquito infecting a pregnant woman whose fetus winds with with microcephaly (tiny brain)? The answer is -- none. Therefore, an OOO God could and would, by definition, have prevented it. Therefore, that God does not exist.
