Are you pursuing your passion, whether it be a career choice or a hobby?

If not, you totally should! I'm making this thread to talk about what are we are doing to currently pursue our passions.

What is the passion you are pursuing, and how are you pursuing it?

I have picked up writing fiction. I used to be a big fiction reader until I turned to nonfiction as a young adult. But recently I've put aside nonfiction for fiction.

I have always wanted to be a writer, and writing fiction is much more fun than writing nonfiction!

I spend much of my free time working on a novel. It gives me much drive and joy. So much work is needed in writing a novel, so it occupies my mind thoroughly, which I like.

So... what about you? What is your passion?

Hey, I am just trying to get over a torn ligament in my knee, which sort of necessitates me doing, well, nothing much. It sucks. I really love helping people and I did get some volunteering ideas from a friend of mine Saturday.
Sorry to hear about your knee! I hope you can find something you can occupy your time with in the meantime.

Kathryn

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
Well, thanks. I moved in late April and tore the ligament in my knee in mid May, moving. I need to be doing more of THAT. But now it's freaking hot and so I guess I will just wait till it cools down a bit. My stuff is basically in my garage. @an anarchist I was really working through it till then so at least my house is sort of together. But the boxes of stuff...Ugh... I downsized and am really feeling it. And it's actually my second downsize in the past five or so years.

Nature, i spend several hours per week with nature.
I take a walk every morning about 30 minutes before sunrise. By sunrise, it is typically 90°F. I walk because of a lack of car, not because I love my local climate, but I would like to move to the forest filled mountains that dot the state of Oregon. Went to a couple family reunions at a ranch up there and I was in love with nature over there. I currently live in the devil's butthole (a super hot desert) so winter is the only time you can go outside and look at the dirt.

I'm working on a sci-fi novel with dinosaurs. I've always loved dinosaurs.

I read the book Jurassic Park and am currently reading it's sequel. The dinosaur scenes are well written
Dinosaurs are awesome

And to think that modern day birds are their descendents!

I guess I am. I had to reflect a moment... but yes.

My religious beliefs are my passion.
One of my passions is helping people but I chose to be a SAHM instead of a social worker. Another passion is dancing and I am doing that.
You can help a lot of people while being a SAHM.

I help the entire neighborhood by not letting my kids run around like lunatics. :D

My passion is Jesus. I love Him and serve Him by loving and serving others; family, grandchildren, neighbors, older people and kids at church, donating to places that help and make a huge difference in the lives of the homeless and addicted. I am grateful for and enjoy His creation when out gardening, kayaking on lakes, walking through forests, picking huckleberries, or enjoying beautiful views of the mountains.

I like to go to the pool. I'm a beginner swimmer practicing my swimming.
