I don't mean just in the present, but as a general rule have you been suffering lately?

I go back and forth frequently. Yesterday I felt euphoric at the cathedral.

Today woke up miserable, then experience some Euphoria and ecstasy, then went back to being miserable.

That's how it was yesterday too. It's like that a lot.

That doesn't sound very healthy, but I'm working the 12 steps with a new sponsor and staying sober.

I also am compassionate and did not used to be.

This is possibly the most sane I've ever been.

I've been happier before, but some of that happiness was based on delusion or mania I think. I seem to be more grounded these days.

Suffering can teach a lot. I'm more sensitive to the needs of others when suffering.

Suffering teaches me what other people are going through. I did not used to care and thought I was the only miserable person.

I'd not feel compassion for drug addicts , handicapped, lunatics, or angry bitter depraved "monsters" or criminals, had I not experienced certain forms of suffering.

There is a Buddhist proverb that if we knew how valuable suffering was, we would pay for it.

I've learned lessons from suffering that I'd not trade for money. Certain forms of suffering have empowered me to reach out to others and Inspire them or give things to them.

St. Dominic used to tell people to pray for the grace to love suffering.

I was really miserable extremely more than usual about two weeks ago. It enabled me to be able to help out a lady at AA who was going through the same thing. She was very grateful.

Hello,

Someone accused me today in Church of being slightly evil, when I felt awkward and unaccustomed to visiting a new Church.
I felt unwelcome and I really want to believe in my Salvation. I think that I might be earthbound. Please help me.

Trust me, if I'm in a state of grace, then you certainly are, because I've got to be worse than you! ;)

I stabbed a guy twice in the chest with a butcher knife, I jumped off a building breaking multiple bones collapsing my lung and having a concussion two torn meniscuses.

I've been a drug addict and blasphemer. I've shoplifted hundreds of times, and broke lots of windshields or windows for no reason.

I've been a really bad dude in jail more than 13 times, yet I'm completely convinced that God is leading me to heaven. I'll just probably have to spend a very long time in purgatory.

I'm not sure how you want me to help you. Not sure if I can. But I want to.

You have an awesome username by the way! God loves you very much. So does Mother Mary and Saint Joseph.

The child that is suffering the most or in the most trouble, is always the child who gets the most attention from their mother.

it actually means a lot to me that your first post on this forum is on this thread. :)

... out on my Odyssé — again!
I've caught a cold. Besides I'm missing my fiancé that died last winter, so my sleep isn't that good.
