I consider my 'beliefs' to be atheistic, in terms of believing in the existence of a deity/deities, because there is no proof. But, I'm open to the possibilities that could lurk beyond the surface. My question is, aren't we all agnostic, for none of us has knowledge if a god exists or not? None of us can prove or disprove the existence of a deity, yes?
What do you think? I wrestle with this from time to time.
As far as Knowledge goes we are all Agnostic. There is no way to definitely disprove the existence of deities outside of our own minds. The most we can do is disprove certain religions who claim to know what the deity(ies) in question are and how they function.
As far as Belief some have fooled themselves into such Logical Fallacies and Circular Logic loops that they have deluded themselves away from the truth. Reasonable people will admit that they are not 100% for certain about their ideas of the Divine. Both Atheist and Theist alike know that they are dealing with belief. One just happens to be much more likely than another.
