Chinese Creation Myth: Yet Another Egg?
Pan Gu! Pan Gu!
Heaven and Earth were together at the beginning of time, according to this myth. They were hanging out in a cloud that was, you guessed it, egg shaped.
But chaos was the name of the game for the universe at that time, and a giant named Pan Gu grew in the middle of it. Only took him 18,000 years of sleeping and developing in the egg until one day, he awoke and stretched. Boom, there went the egg.
The lighter egg goo, or elements if you want a nicer word, became the sky and heaven, and the heavier, yolkey- stuff became Earth. Pan Gu was a bit tense that the two might combine again, so he decided to do his part and hold the heavens on his head and the Earth underneath his feet.
Then he continued to grow for a whole other 18,000 years, until finally he felt satisfied when the two were a good 30,000 miles apart. Soon after, he died.
From his death, the Earth was bequeathed some new stuff – his arms and legs became the directions NSEW and the mountains; his blood the rivers; his sweat, the rain and dew. His voice was now thunder, and his minty-free breath, the wind. All elements of land and water came from his body, with his left eye becoming the sun, and his right eye, the moon.
It would be interesting to see the unintended consequences of this law if some teacher starts in with this myth instead of the Bible stories.

Rubber meets the road in real life situations, does God do what He said He would and faithful to His promises? Yes. Does He do everything I ask and do I know everything? No.
LOL no, it will not. The very first "principle" it advocates is not at all agreed upon by Bible believers. This is the issue.
We have no evidence I've seen that God does anything. What we have are humans who claim to speak for God and claim she's done things.

That’s not quite what I was saying and wasn’t saying the literal principle of interpretation would insure everyone would agree with each other. Out of all the different principles of interpretation I found the literal is the best at finding out what God meant when He said things. That’s it.

According to the Biblical chronology, the Flood happened 1656 years after the Creation. It is now at least 1985 years since Jesus's death (and, a fortiori, since he spoke the words in Matthew 24:37-41) and the Son of Man has not come yet. Have we any reason to believe that the Son of Man will ever come, or that Jesus's words about his expected coming, or the Flood, are reliable?

It is a historical fact that Christianity has never insisted on biblical literalism.
So it is false to suggest, as you did, that it is a requirement of Christianity.

A person that receives the Gospel and is born again of the Spirit accepts Jesus Christ and that the Scriptures are the Word of God. If a person doesn’t believe the Scriptures are the Word of God why would they consider themselves a Christian. A believer enters into a covenant with God and submits to His authority over their lives, lives out the Word of God. You cannot submit to God without believing His Word is true. Jesus Christ said that Man does not live on bread alone but every word that comes from the mouth of God.

You had better ask that question about the whole of Christendom, from 200AD onwards, then.
Are you really suggesting that nobody was a Christian until 200 years ago?

You are failing to answer my question. Just preaching at me won't do.
You do not get to determine what makes a Christian. You have no authority to do that. Christians have exited for many centuries before you, or whatever sect you belong to.
