This just in. The international criminal court has just issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu, Gallant and Mohammed Deif (hamas leader) for warcrimes / crimes against humanity.

Actually arresting them, will be another matter though.

If the people with arrest warrants get arrested, they will be prosecuted by the ICC, regardless of what the US thinks about it.
Off course, the US is not a member of the ICC. Which in itself is off course telling.

However, neither is the point.
The point is that the arrest warrants exist. That, in itself, is an international recognition of the, at least, suspected war crimes committed by these people.

Putin has an arrest warrant also for what he did, and is doing, in Ukraine.
I don't expect him to be arrested any time soon either.

I'ld love all of them to face the justice they deserve in those courts though...............
But failing that, the symbolism of the warrants is a nice signal nonetheless.

It's a bit more than just symbolic. It's an automatic travel ban to all Rome Statute members, as they would have to arrest them.
