Article about abortion

Jaymes

The cake is a lie
My apologies if this is in the wrong place, mods.

About a year back--maybe more, my memory's very odd--there was an article in the news about people following around off-duty abortion clinic workers and holding signs that proclaimed them to be baby killers and the like. Does anyone recall this article and where I might find it? I tried my luck on Google, but found nothing.

Here's one, but I doubt it's unique.
http://www.holysmoke.org/fem/fem0582.htm
and in my home town no less.

in this case it was a police officer providing private information to the activists using the CPIC tracking system.

"In Vancouver, physicians have been the routine target of
pickets organized by Campaign Life Coalition (CLC) activists.
Last September, workers at Everywoman's Health Centre complained
to police that anti-abortion operatives were taking license plate
numbers at the clinic. Clinic staff, patients and their families
have been contacted by anti-abortion activists and picketing
campaigns have been organized at the homes of abortion providers."

Here's another

Well, everybody knows I'm pro-life. But I don't like, nor do I support, anyone going and harrassing anyone. I am non-violent, and I think political change always should be. These people are just being petty and they do more harm to the cause than good.

However, Jensa, you are seriously only getting one side of the story. When pro-lifers do commit crimes, and I'm not saying they ever should, it is usually petty stuff like this, stealing license plates and verbal harrasment. Even the few times when clinics were bombed, almost all of the cases, it was purposely done at night when no one was there to get hurt. The intent was to destroy the clinic, not the people in it. The news media tends to sensationalize these things.

What you probably don't know is that the number of crimes among pro-lifers may be more, but the SEVERITY of crimes among abortionists and pro-choice activists is FAR worse.

Please visit www.prochoiceviolence.com. You may ask yourself why these never made the news. I have my own opinions on that one.

What most people don't know is that the very first murder ever at an abortion clinic was committed by an abortionist! It happened when one abortionist pulled out a gun and shot another one for sleeping with his wife! If you want the exact details of who it was I can find that out for you.

And really, what could possibly be more violent than ripping a living child out of a woman piece by piece, Jensa? Have you ever seen an abortion?

Dr. Paul Jarrett explains:

My 23rd abortion changed my mind about doing abortions forever. This patient was a little overweight and ultimately proved to be a little farther along than anticipated. This was not an uncommon mistake before ultrasound was readily available to confirm the gestational age. Initially, the abortion proceeded normally. The water broke, but then nothing more would come out. When I withdrew the curette, I saw that it was plugged up with the leg of the baby which had been torn off. I then changed techniques and used ring forceps to dismember the 13 or 14 week size baby. Inside the remains of the rib cage I found a tiny, beating heart. I was finally able to remove the head and looked squarely into the face of a human being – a human being that I had just killed.2

No, but I've seen the photographs. Have you? I've also seen photographs of my daughter moving in the womb, rubbing her head, sucking her thumb, acting surprised when I breathed in too fast, kicking her legs, falling asleep, basically being a baby. I fell in love with her before she was ever born. In the situation I was in, a lot of women would have had an abortion. I chose life, and every day I look at her I thank God I did. If I had had an abortion, and then found out what I know now, I would have undoubtedly, ABSOLUTELY KILLED MYSELF. I am 100% positive of that. Which is something that a lot of women who have abortions do eventually do. If I can save just one woman from making that mistake, I will die happy.

Then what right have you to ask me if I've ever seen one myself when you never have?

While we're at it, do you support the right of someone to follow around a soldier who has killed someone in Iraq and hold up signs proclaiming him a murderer? What about someone who has carried out the sentence for a death penalty? Unless you advocate the right to harass everyone who has ever murdered, I would say your support of this is hypocritical.

If you can look at that, and still think abortion is okay, stay the heck away from my family, because you are insane.

But calling people insane because of their political opinions is OK?

Right. Whatever. Like the websites where "pro-life" people have the names and pictures and address of abotion doctors? I guess they just accidently crossed out the names on the website when they were murdered, right? Oops! HTML typo!

How about when you leave your house I bomb it, that sound good? You won't be there to get hurt, so it will be okay, right?

If someone you don't know comes up to you in the street and starts verbally harrassing you, I doubt you will consider it petty.

From what I"ve heard, now I don't visit or approve of those sites, but I've heard that it is a list of PRACTICING abortionists. They cross them out when one of them retires as well.

And how is bombing a baby-dismembering institute an equivolent of bombing someone's home? Nobody LIVES there, it is a place of business. It's vandalism, but it usually can be repaired fairly quickly, leaving the person out of work for maybe a week or two. Boo hoo. And I don't like it when people do that, I don't approve of it, but Just because someone is making a living off of ripping out fetuses with a giant pair of scissors, doesn't mean I am going to go cry when someone bombs that person's place of business, either. Excuse me for not really caring. My chief concern is with how it makes the pro-life movement look, even though I understand how someone could have pretty strong feelings about it.

I ask you, if you knew Nazis were set about killing babies 7 miles away from your home, would you sit there and cry when someone blew up thier crematorium? So why is it okay for someone to take a living baby out of someone's womb, limb by limb, throw it in the trash, and send the mother on her way?

That being said, I do not endorse bombing. I have never bombed anything. I don't know anyone who has ever bombed anything. I have never been arrested for anything, in fact, and I don't approve of vandalism or lawlessness.

By law, it is a petty crime. If they touch you, it is assault, if they don't, it is not.

Am I talking about Iraq, no. Do I approve of killing, no. Try to stay on the subject. If you've never even seen the photographs, just say so.

OK, but you think it's OK to force your agenda and religious views on others. Honestly, I'm not sure which is worse, in the long run....

Don't like abortion? Don't have one. Pretty simple. But why should others be denied that option just because you think it's morally wrong?

You know, I'm pretty sure if I replaced the word "baby-dismembering institute" with "school" or "church" or "anything but an abortion clinic," you'd disagree fairly quickly.

And I don't like it when people do that, I don't approve of it, but Just because someone is making a living off of ripping out fetuses with a giant pair of scissors, doesn't mean I am going to go cry when someone bombs that person's place of business, either.
Would you disapprove bombing of military bases? They make their living off killing full-fledged humans.

Excuse me for not really caring.
You're excused.

I'd pull Godwin's law* on you, but I'd lose the debate by doing so. :)

Good, then we're on the same track here in that we both think bombing abortion clinics is wrong.

* As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches one.

So you wouldn't care if you were unable to work for two weeks? I know I sure would care. Regardless of how you feel about it, it's legal employment.
