I should be more precise as those posting here have been.
When you say Aryan, I see Hurrian and more precisely Horian. 'The Hurrians lived after 1600BC on the route taken by Abraham from Ur to Haran. We are told that the Moabites had displaced the Emim (similar to the Anakim) and the Edomites displaced the Horites, who were not cave-dwellers, but representatives of the Hurrian people. All these earlier peoples apart from Horites were Rephaim (also shades of the dead in Sheol) who were probably an early race of giants in Palestine' (Peakes Commentary)
'Mount Hermon' is perhaps misleading - Golan Height more precise. The Temple is the 'Wheel of Rephaim' called Gilgal Rafiam near Gamla and in the Golan Heights. 42000 basalt rocks, 37000 tons put here in 3 concentric circles, the outer around 450 metres long with 2 openings for the summer solstice sun and sighting Sirius as dated around 3000BC. It is copper age and predates any Babylonian and Egyptian temples etc. Quite a task and worth a look.
The Sidonians called Mount Hermon 'Sirion'. As for the Rephaim - King Og was said to be the last of them with an iron bed 13.5 feet long and 6 wide, possibly a basalt sarcophagus, 9x4 cubits of a man ie 13.5 feet. He lived in Ashtherot and ruled Bashan and Gilead to Mount Hermon in the north. Bashan like Edom and Moab had broken up into kingdoms some time before 1300BC. They all made the mistake of standing against the Egyptian immigrants under Moses (perhaps the missing king Tuthmosis 2 who was brought up by Queen Hatshepsut and is dated around 1500BC). Og was descended from the Nefilim who are described as deities who fell from heaven. Deuteronomy talks of giants as tall as the Anakim. 6 fingers and 6 toes for some still crop up in our genes. Perhaps they really did have those long tiome spans. Adam was over 900 when he died and only 460 when Jared was born, in whose day the landing took place, but he lived 962 years. After all this dating in Genesis 5 we get Chapter 6 starting by telling us how the 'sons of god saw the daughters of men' and as a result that 'there were giants in the earth in those days and also after that' which implioes that the genes survived the Flood which came next and certainly did not eradicate them as planned. Someone warned them but I digress from the centre of the original Horian invasion and the arrival of the war god Horus with his army.
There are 8500 plus dolmens around the Golan heights. The actual wheel confuses everyone as it was an immense task (for normal men). So where are the skeletons and sarcophagi? You can find many references to such discoveries in the past. Even in the Preselli Mountains in Wales and Afanc. Sirius stands out. Egypt reckoned their dates by the Sirian cycle - around 1460 years. They put up with a system so that Christmas Day would travel through the calendar and great rejoicing when it came back - only they called it New Year's Day, the birthday of the Good God, even the herald of the annual Nile flood - around July 19 in a stable calendar and observed by the heliacal rising of Sirius the one day a year when they both rise at the same time. Sirius did a better job than the calendar which only had 365 days in it, some of which were intercaliary days to differentiate them from the (Hebrew) 360 day year which seems more lunar than solar or Sirian. It may be that this temple reflects a device to record the time when the Sirius star rising was identical to the summer solstice Sun rising, so both could be observed together separately from the centre. (We had a lunar eclipse at winter solstice this year in England). Why they would want to know that is hard to deteremine but may reflect their origins and obsession with mental travel capabilities. All of this sort of stuff comes out in a rather diluted and confusing form in early religious scripts, like the texts incised in the Egyptian Temples around 2300BC. Confusing in that to me it suggests people having had this oral knowledge for perhaps a thousand years and getting lost somewhere, much as we have who depend on their texts too. But bits crop up in them all and include this curious mountain god and the sacrifices. Sihon like Og refused Moses permission to 'cross' their land. All the inhabitants were put to the ban that is utterly destroyed as a sacrifice to the Lord, and their land from from Arnon to Jabbok became Israel's possession. The ban is one of the features of The Holy War see Deuteronomy 20:10-18. There was a tradition of sacrificing your king (Egypt) or your son (Abraham) but certainly your enemies. But some do it at the top of a mountain, or pyramid, Aztecs and Sumerians for example). Molech was based in Jerusalem and they 'set apart' or threw children into his hilltop furnace for centuries possibly their first born who the property of Yahweh (Exodus 13.12 also uses that word 'set apart'), who was known as El and is a Mountain God. (More Molech:-2Kings 16:3, Exek 20.31 etc). Odd thing to do unless this sacrifice feeds some form of spiritual parasite and that is what the wicker men were really for. Note also that Jesus is 'transfigured' on Mount Hermon and talks to Enoch and Moses there in view of his disciples who fell asleep and saw him doing this although he told them to stay awake. He would probably have read the Book of Enoch as he talks about the Son of Man - Binadham literally son of Adam. Moses too had a habit of climbing mountains to converse with El and making his texts stand out in stone.
It is a mixture of seen and unseen worlds unfortunately but those with the eyes to see become 'enlightened' to just what is going on in our world. Written in stone for all to see.
have I moved away from the subject?
