As Arranged, Trump Has Been Acquitted

As arranged in advance of the trial by Mr. Trump, Mr. Mitch McConnell, and the Republican majority, Mr. Trump has been acquitted in the Senate of both charges on which he was impeached by the House of Representatives.

Senator Mitt Romney was the only Republican to cross party lines and vote to convict, which he did on the abuse of power charge, but not on the obstruction of justice charge.

The acquittal has the potential to give Mr. Trump unprecedented powers for someone occupying the office of president. It will be interesting to observe if he returns to his efforts to illegally throw the November election in his favor.

Everyone knew it weeks ago. As already pointed out, this process isn't about justice. It is about whoever has the majority in the Senate.

Make a better argument next time you might win the majority. The social Democrats do say there's going to be a next time or more accurately a continuation ad nauseam.

Putting that aside, it was a fair, legal, and properly conducted trial.

Will the socialist Democrats accept that?

Nope.

I'm sure they will start proceedings once again and waste people's time even longer now. I say go with it start new investigation subpoena John Bolton and get more people sick and tired of socialist Democrats.

I encourage it!

WWMRD?
Thank goodness our system of government is still working after all these years as the founding fathers intended and justice ultimately prevailed cutting through the smoke and mirrors like rays of pure sunshine through clear panes of glass. I think now is the time that we as a people should take a few minutes regardless of what side of the aisle you are on and help heal the divides of the nation and move forward from this shameful pillorying of a U.S. president. Put away the childhood toys of partisanship and unite in the knowledge that after all these years this great experiment has once again shown how great it can be.

I recall this criticism....
Former New York Times Executive Editor Admits Paper Is 'Unmistakably Anti-Trump'
Abramson said one of the reasons the paper has taken such an anti-Trump position is due to the financial incentives.

“Given its mostly liberal audience, there was an implicit financial reward for the Times in running lots of Trump stories, almost all of them negative,” she wrote.

“They drove big traffic numbers and, despite the blip of cancellations after the election, inflated subscription orders to levels no one anticipated.”

Abramson admitted that The Times saw a “Trump bump” in its subscriptions during Trump’s first six months in office. Subscriptions rose from around 600,000 to over 2 million.

She explained that the younger staffers in particular believed they needed to continually produce anti-Trump coverage.

Here's an interesting impeachment trial for comparison....
Impeachment of Bill Clinton - Wikipedia
Some Pubs voted <not guilty>, but every Dem voted so.
Btw, it was 50 to 50 on Article 2.

Too bad our system of government has been hijacked by political parties and corporate interests working all these years to take advantage of what the founding fathers intended and ultimately uses smoke and mirrors to profit from a corrupted capitalist system triumphing over democracy. I think now is the time that we as a people should take a few minutes regardless of what side of the aisle you are on and help heal the divides of the nation and move forward from this shameful reality TV version of a government (especially its host). Put away the childhood toys of partisanship and unite in the knowledge that after all these years this great experiment has once again shown how great it can be for a specific political party and its corrupted leader.

Denying witnesses makes it a farce, anyway you look it at. Deciding before trial makes it a farce, anyway you look at it.

Ultimate power was his goal. It's now his reality. Brace yourselves. Democracy has died.

In all seriousness, the way you keep saying "socialist democrats" to refer to the Democratic party, why should we take your seriously?

That started with their well-known and documented history of the compulsory nanny state and attempts at centralization of government with increased incremental control over industry and commerce that has drastically affected the means of production in this country to the point of just about crippling our (personal) economy and creating a large amount of dependents that have since turned toward government help.

Coupled with the fact that Blue Dog Democrats are hardly existing anymore who have all been run-out by socialists that has since invaded the party, and has been recognized by many people who came from socialist countries by their very noticeable hard turn to the far left only to be shocked that it's happening here

The endorsement made by communist and socialist parties here in the US reflecting just about word for word the same goals and ambitions, not to mention the politicians that openly admit they are socialist like Bernie Sanders and AOC. I'll give them both credit at least over having the moxy to say and admit it honestly and truthfully unlike others that try to obscure that fact.

I will continue calling them socialist until that changes.

And I will continue calling them out on it till either I die first, they change back to Blue dog Democrats, or we just arbitrarily nuke each other into oblivion.
