As Arranged, Trump Has Been Acquitted

Make a better argument next time you might win the majority. The social Democrats do say there's going to be a next time or more accurately a continuation ad nauseam.

Putting that aside, it was a fair, legal, and properly conducted trial.

Will the socialist Democrats accept that?

Nope.

I'm sure they will start proceedings once again and waste people's time even longer now. I say go with it start new investigation subpoena John Bolton and get more people sick and tired of socialist Democrats.

I encourage it!

Right.. No witnesses allowed.

Denying witnesses makes it a farce, anyway you look it at. Deciding before trial makes it a farce, anyway you look at it.

This is what bothers me the most about the entire affair.

Whether or not we want to consider it "partisan" the process wasn't respected or adhered to. That sets a troubling precedent. If the process was "partisan" that happened as a direct result of both parties - but especially Republicans - refusing to take of their blasted red and blue shirts and work in a bipartisan fashion. This has been an ongoing problem for a long time and this ridiculous partisan bickering is going to be the end of this country. When folks can't even set aside their damn t-shirts to respect the system, it's done. That represents such a fundamental disunity that disfunction is the only thing that will continue in Washington. The trouble is, I don't believe the people are any better in this regard.

Do we want this country to actually be a democracy, or not? And more critically, do we want it to actually be representative and make significant reforms to put us on that road?

As arranged in advance of the trial by Mr. Trump, Mr. Mitch McConnell, and the Republican majority, Mr. Trump has been acquitted in the Senate of both charges on which he was impeached by the House of Representatives.

Senator Mitt Romney was the only Republican to cross party lines and vote to convict, which he did on the abuse of power charge, but not on the obstruction of justice charge.

The acquittal has the potential to give Mr. Trump unprecedented powers for someone occupying the office of president. It will be interesting to observe if he returns to his efforts to illegally throw the November election in his favor.

Wild spin, nothing more. This is just a repeat of Schiff's "sell Alaska babble"

I would have preferred witnesses myself but it's still a legal trial. They cut it short for obvious reasons they are compulsed to get out onto the campaign trail for their own blind ambitions for acquiring power.

I suspect it was a bipartisan decision not to have witnesses in the end. At least out of the public ear.

Now the question is now that it's over, will they let it rest or will they continue on with the circus performance?

Yes like the Dems didn't whine for 3 years about Russia Collusion babble then watch it blow up in their face. They were completely willing to work with Trump.... /s

I will continue calling them socialist until that changes.
Yeah, except the party doesn't overtly embrace socialism, and by those standards we might as well say "Socialist Republicans" because they are big into handing out corporate welfare like candy on Halloween.

That started with their well-known and documented history of the compulsory nanny state and attempts at centralization of government with increased incremental control over industry and commerce that has drastically affected the means of production in this country to the point of just about crippling our (personal) economy and creating a large amount of dependents that have since turned toward government help.

Coupled with the fact that Blue Dog Democrats are hardly existing anymore who have all been run-out by socialists that has since invaded the party, and has been recognized by many people who came from socialist countries by their very noticeable hard turn to the far left only to be shocked that it's happening here

The endorsement made by communist and socialist parties here in the US reflecting just about word for word the same goals and ambitions, not to mention the politicians that openly admit they are socialist like Bernie Sanders and AOC. I'll give them both credit at least over having the moxy to say and admit it honestly and truthfully unlike others that try to obscure that fact.

I will continue calling them socialist until that changes.

And I will continue calling them out on it till either I die first, they change back to Blue dog Democrats, or we just arbitrarily nuke each other into oblivion.
Abuse the funny icon all you want @The Hammer. It doesn't change facts.

It will be interesting to observe if he returns to his efforts to illegally throw the November election in his favor.

I mean, let's be real - there is no "if" about this. It would be out-of-character for him to do anything else. Let's also be real - the election system is broken in some fundamental ways and has been for a long time. That a candidate can win the popular vote and loose the election is proof enough of that. That our House of "Representatives" isn't actually representational of the political leanings of their respective states (statistically speaking) is more proof of that. We have the same problem in the Senate. Add to that the wrenches deliberately thrown into being able to vote in some states. Oh, and the very strong possibility of significant foreign interference in the election whether or not it is directly or deliberately capitalized upon by this corrupt president.

I don't know what it is about this. Maybe I'm just getting old enough to notice all this and to care - it's not as if these things weren't problems when I first came of age to vote. But this is making me utterly loose faith in this nation's democracy. Make no mistake - I am absolutely still going to vote. But it is going to be a lot harder for me to argue against those who abdicate their civic duty with their excuses.

I hear they're already talking about a subpoena to John Bolton.

That's okay. Let them put Americans through the entire process all over again.

I'm sure they'll just be peachy to enjoy the long play version. Again and again and again.....

What point are you trying to make here? I mean, if it was your intention to demonstrate my point, then congratulations? Mission accomplished?

I don't know. Have you checked out the US. Communist party website? You would swear it was written by the socialist Democrats themselves.

Right.. No witnesses allowed.

The stiff-necked liberals had 17 witnesses and they decided not to have more in the House. Plus they had scores of videos and some 28,000 documents.

Then the Cretins wanted the Senate to do what they failed to do. The libs couldn't even produce their own impotent whistle blower.

So it is a well deserved defeat for the losers.

Trump NOT GUILTY. Liberals cry your eyes out, LOL!
