Ask Any RF Member a Question...

I'm not sure if this type of thread has been tried since the @ symbol has been in use to tag members to get their attention. If this is a repeat idea, oh, well.....let's do it again!

Ask any RF member a question by tagging them with the @ symbol. The member may or may not answer, but it's worth a shot. Have fun!

I'll start with:

@Jayhawker Soule What places have you traveled to since you retired and which destinations were favorites?

@Kilgore Trout Will we ever see a photo of your small fry?

@Luca85 - Where else have you traveled in Europe or elsewhere? Have you been to the US? You're still willing to help me with Italiano, right? :D

@Wirey - How ya doin'?

@Revoltingest - You're going to vote for Trump, aren't you? Come on, admit it. We all know it.

I'll threaten it because so many here react so entertainingly.
But I'll vote Libertarian.
Yeah, yeah. You've been promoting the Libertarian platform publicly, but I'm convinced you have a man-crush on the Donald.

You're going to have to take a pic of your ballot before we believe you. :)

Shouldn't this thread be in the joke forum?
Unlike most voters, I cast my vote solely based upon the candidate's agenda & likely effect.
So my heated bromance with Trump is a purely personal matter.

You must admit that he is prettier than both Bernie & Hillary, eh?

Unlike most voters? Wow, what an insult. If I didn't like you so much, I'd give you a beat down. :)

I'll admit he's the more orange of the trio. That's all I got.

Consider.... Most voters (speaking to me) don't talk about their candidate's agenda.
They talk of either....
1) How horrible the alternative is, or.....
2) How the candidate strikes them, eg, "experienced", "presidential", how they will "make Americastan great again".
I'll admit he's the more orange of the other two. That's all I got.
He dresses better then either.
And the hair.....not since Blagojevich or Edwards has such a coiffure caught the public's eye!

I've had MANY discussions about specifics regarding the various candidates and their platforms, just not here.

I'm not keen on expressing myself in textual formats, takes too much time.

Edwards? As in John Edwards or? He has a fine head o' hair.

@Buttercup If you could rule any nation with a kitten mitten which would it be? I'm betting North Korea.
Nope, wouldn't be North Korea. :) I'd rule a nation somewhere in Europe, either Italy or part-time in a Nordic country. As a California girl, I like the sun too much to live somewhere gloomy year-round. I'm in love with Italians and their culture. I also love that many citizens are stubborn and refuse to learn English. Also, as a native West Coaster, the history and ambiance of Europe is especially appealing because everything is so new here, comparatively. If I didn't have family in the US, I'd emigrate to Europe.

Dark Valkyrie...what's not to love?
Maybe Saturn... if you get my point ;)

Ah, I'm in a financial crisis (kinda always been in my adult days), but if had to choose, I think maybe Australia for mud crabbing. Wanna tag along (This is the ask members questions after all)?

Why not hang out with me in the land of Satan?

You couldn't be in too dire of a financial crisis, you just got back from a trip. Or, was that a work related excursion?

Australia is definitely on the list of places I'd like to see, however, it's a very expensive flight from my location. Therefore, if I spend a lot on the transportation, I want to stay for a long visit to make it worthwhile. I'm probably a bit more interested in New Zealand than Australia, but I'd do both, if I could. Is the mud crabbing best on the Northeastern shore where the tropical part of Oz is located? Where exactly do you want to go?

Note dire, thank God, but serious enough to not go abroad. I still can take my family out to have middle class not costly fun. I haven't received a salary for four months now, and looks like it's gonna get even worse because of the financial/cash flow problems the company I work for is having. My last trip was on a tight budget (for a distant trip, that is) and it was the only one I had with my own savings, which are kinda ruined now haha :D

Anyways, enough pondering over spilled milk ;)

I did my homework and I think it would be Queensland. Dunno in which part of Australia this is. However, if New Zealand had a mangrove tree line and a river connected to it, it would most likely be a good alternative since such environment is where mud crabs are found. I think it's expensive for me to go to Australia too, but you can say it's a passing wishful thinking post thought. I actually wanted to say Jakarta, Indonesia first, since flying there and hotel prices are really cheap for an abroad trip. Is ~$1,200 USD good for a flight + a 10 stay in a nice hotel with breakfast in your opinion?

Yikes! I can't imagine working for four months without pay. Can't you look for work elsewhere?

Queensland is in the NE part of Australia - the tropics.

I'm too nervous to go anywhere in Indonesia because of terrorist activities, but the price sounds good for a 10 day stay plus hotel. Hawaii and Mexico are the cheap spots from where I live.
