Ask me any bible related question!

Feel free to ask me about the theology of scripture, manuscripts, life biggest questions, alleged contradictions, context of passages etc... I dont know everything but I like to hear the objections and the difficult questions and problems people have with scripture. Please provide the references if possible, and any relevant evidence.

How would you explain the apparent failed prophecies with regard to ancient civilizations that were meant to be destroyed but never were?

anonymous9887: Thank you for giving this opportunity to ask questions. I do have a few.

Q01: If God loves us unconditional, how is it possible that God is judgemental according to the Bible? One goes to hell, other to heaven
Q02: Why the condition "Jesus is the only way"? okay for a Christian, "creating aggression" if said to "non-Christian". Is that really what Jesus asks of evangelists?
Q03: Putting a spell is called Black Magic. How you see "Everyone ends up in Hell, unless following Jesus" [Christians tell this often to me]

People watch out: This is "InterFaith Discussion", so it is not "InterFaith" Debate. Control yourself.
[Just a wakeup call. Till now I was in "Debate" all the time. Glad I saw it in time myself]

Why is scripture required to be an authority on god?

Q2: Why the condition "Jesus is the only way"?, oke if one is a Christians, not oke if it's meant also for "non-Christians"

1. God's love is unconditional. I will have to get back to you on this because this is an interesting question. Is god's love unconditional? But from what I understand god wants what is best for us, this means he knows what is best for us and he wants us to follow him to help ourselves. But he does want everyone to repent from their wicked ways (2 Peter 3:9). God is also a god of justice (Job 34:10-12) so its hard for me to fathom that someone can do what ever they want without consequences. unrepentant murders, sexually immoral people, rapist, Adulterers are choosing their own path to self destruction. Its one thing if they committed really horrible sins and they repent, god forgives them (Mark 3:28-29).But if they refuse to do what is right even after discipline what else can be done? So my question to you is how should these unrepentant cases be handled?

2. I am not sure I understand question 2. But here goes, there are many books and theories out there and they all cant be true (Matthew 7:13-14). The bible encourages to search diligently and ask questions (proverbs 2:1-6; Proverbs 14:15). If i didnt understand the question please elaborate

I see this is "InterFaith Discussion", so it is not "InterFaith" Debate
Im not sure if your being sarcastic, but if I am coming off as debating I am sorry. I am learning as I am going also. I of course believe the bible to be god's word, and I love to continue to learn about different aspects of the bible, and I love to talk to people about these kinds of subjects.

By the way, one should never say "alleged contradictions" when there are soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many of them.
please provide the references. and your may be write when it comes to scribal errors that can be corrected or those problems that are easily solved. But I will sincerely ask you which passages of scripture corrupt the message of the bible or any fundamental doctrine?

Why is mine maroon when everyone else's is black?
LOL because thats what what you either received as a gift or you chose that color. I would like to think black is a traditional color, maybe most bibles in the world are black. Black is pretty fashionable you know. lol

Tortured grammar aside, why are you trolling for an invitation to pontificate without offering the slightest reason why your views on the matter should be deemed valuable?
You dont have to be on the thread. You are using your free will to reply to me. I am simply saying ask me anything about the bible and if I have solid reasoning then you can agree, but if the reasoning is faulty then dont. Just because a person may not have an education does not mean that the person does not have a good power of reason. Everyone deserves a chance to express themselves, no one is greater than anyone. Jehovah examines the heart not the knowledge, or status one possesses 1 Samuel 16:7

I dont say that it is required to be the authority of god, its more like it has proven itself to be the authority of god. I personally believe we do need god as an authority because for thousands of years man has not been able to achieve world peace or any favorable conditions for all people around the world. Jeremiah 10:23

Q1: Thank you for answering. I agree what you say about people acting "bad" being corrected. But if God does not judge. Good question "how to get it done".

God is omniscient, so He is not surprised humans do "bad". And of course He is aware of His Declaration "I love you unconditional". God is also omnipotent, so He might have created such a world in which everything is done according to His Will, without Him needing to judge.

Question: How should these unrepentant cases be handled? [I think you mean to "bad" cases who didn't learn while alive]:
Rule 1 is for God not to judge the person. Sending to hell equals to judging the "person"[his own creation], makes no sense and is "not done". Teacher does not judge the "person" just the "tests", and giving the person another chance before promoting to the next class. That's sounds fair to me especially coming from God. How God does this, I don't know. I leave what is to God, to God. Speculating what God might do, I have done, didn't work out so well for me. Some use reincarnation, others believe in different classes in different heavens. But it's all speculation.

1. God does know all things, but this is where things get a little controversial, because free will comes into play. I just did the research on free will the other day, and it all comes down to being programmed with a life to carry out or being able to make our own choices what we want to do.

2. I do not believe hell to be a place of fiery eternal torment. The person simply ceases to exist.

3. Now since god knows all things I would have to assume that if he sent someone to eternal sleep then no matter what god did to demonstrate his love to the person the person was unwilling to accept rehabilitation. Because the one thing god will not touch is your ability to choose. So if the person simply is unwilling to change and everything has been attempted for a long period of time and god sees that the person will never change now what? I think that is fair, that when all your options have been exhausted and you do not want to change you are judged. Otherwise unfortunately you will affect those around you.
