I would have voted for Kamala but I think there is a libertarian running so I might have voted for him/

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
So, spouting racism and insulting a U.S. territory that is mostly made up of brown-skinned people is "humor"?

I agree choosing that comedian was a poor choice but as you can tell that he was immediately shot down and Trump quickly stated that Hinchcliffe does not reflect his views.

Needless to say I'm pretty sure he wont be invited back anytime soon.

Wrong. Try reading the articles you post.

The "Trump campaign" made a statement. Trump has not said anything yet.

A "Trump advisor" said the joke does not represent Trump's views. But based on comments that Trump has made in the past we know that the joke does in fact represent Trump's views very well.

Some are. The best chance we have is for Harris to win in a landslide and Democrats take the House and retain the Senate - total refutation of MAGA. Or maybe it will take creating a new political party composed of those who believe in America.
Or even better, there could be a MAGA party.

He was reading a teleprompter with the jokes prechosen. The Trump campaign approved the message in advance.
I did not even notice that. That sounds almost as if the party is trying to commit suicide.

EDIT: It appears that you are right. There was a joke that was repressed by the people running this. They knew what he was going to say:

No, Trump's view is that the USA is a "garbage can". So pretty much the same as a "floating island of trash".

It's too late for Trump to backpedal on their hateful rhetoric.

MAGA means hate. MAGA means division. MAGA means us versus them. And some want this guy to be the president of the United States of America?

He had a record of bigoted insults.
He was chosen with this record.
Now they seem to believe it's a poor choice,
but only because it back-fired on them.
It is even worse than that as @tytlyf said, his script was on a teleprompter. The article I linked even said that there was one joke that went too far and was rejected.
