At what age is it appropriate for children to witness a heterosexual couple kissing?

Should young children be exposed to heterosexual relationships in movies or on TV? Hollywood is constantly putting out movies and tv shows aimed at young children that contain images of heterosexual couples kissing.

Please, serious thoughtful answers only.

Is this appropriate? Is there an age where children are too young to be exposed to such images?

But at what age? At what age must the child yell “get a room?”, and at what age do they not have to yell that?

Do you expect this of a 1 year old? How about a 15 year old?

Stuff like this? at any age.
Imagine parents being afraid or concerned about kissing in front of their kid, because it might upset them...

"Ohh... Garry no kissing in front of little Bobby, you know how upset he gets, wait until he is 15 years old.. its not a long time only 14 years" :D

Better being exposed to love expressions (kissing)
Better not being exposed to violence expressions

Children love it when parents kiss, natural emotion
Unless you've brainwashed them it's bad, a sin etc

I remember being young, and my sister(who was about 4) challenging my parents to kiss... she had never seen them do such a thing. They assured her that they loved each other, but she insisted... oh, the distasteful peck on the lips they gave each other!

Perhaps I'd have less discomfort with emotion if I'd been exposed to it as a youngster.

I'd rather kids see that than violence. Love is good and acceptable. Kids should learn that. Violence isn't good, and really we should be more concerned about exposure to that that romance, sexuality and nudity.

Were she alive my mom would say 'No'. If there were kissing she would cover my eyes or make me cover them. She didn't want me to look at magazines in grocery isles either. In fact, I didn't find out sex existed until I was twelve.

I didn't know about French kissing until way older. I remember my son first seeing that somewhere and saying "He's biting her!" :)
But we certainly saw Mom and Dad showing affection to each other from our youngest ages.
I think it's natural for a younger kids to think it's kind of gross. Kissing is kind of weird when you think about it, why do you want to put your mouth on somebody else's mouth?

Wish I could have given you more than just a "Winner" frube for that. It is spot on.

The very BEST thing kids can see in their parents (and other family members) is affection, easily and unashamedly expressed.

A good example -- thanks for sharing.
