At what point are you "fluent" in a language

That doesn't necessarilly work either, because when I'm in France, I'm told I have a Belfian accent, whilst in Belgium, I'm told I have a Parisian accent................:confused:

Actually, That is a point to consider - accents. I can speak Spanish with a fantastic Castillian accent, as I can with Italian, cockney, Kiswahili.........but that doesn't mean I am fluent in those languages. Maybe the fact that I love music so much gives me an 'edge' when it comes to accents.

When I was in Germany everyone thought I was from Holland.
