Can anyone think of another category besides implicit atheism that is superfluous?

Well, it does make sense. Atheists, after all, don't believe in god, so to them it is nothing more than a construct.
It's not often we need to create superfluous categories to justify our illogic.

I say we go back to God...whatever declaration we have made.....will be dealt with.
To have a construct? I suppose it is. We believe or disbelieve in things.

It's a misunderstanding of what "default" means, which is another thread to speak of.
It only has to do with what we would have become had nothing interfered.

That is identical with white, while non-white and black and passive and active respectively of the same thing that is not the same thibg, except when I say otherwise.
No, it's just non-black. Non-an absence of every other colour.
That white is every other colour combined is a coincidence. And darned skillful.
Or how about politics: You are either Republican or Arepublican, with Democrat being "Hard" Arepublican, and everything else being "Soft" Arepublican.
