Edit:This studies are done on abrahamic religions so other people shouldn't be concerned.I have a fear of abrahamic god and this is a part of my effort to prove abrahamic god deosn't exist to punish me.
Um...
Are you saying the only reason you are out to prove god does not exist is to avoid punishment?

I don't know, if people are measurably brighter and closer to the truth about what they believe around the i.q. of 500 than people are at 100, then maybe a pattern could be shown to develop. I mean if you got more brains, it can let you think harder.

Who said anything about atheists being smarter?
I mean, outside your above quoted post...
Its just my observation, I also am on a atheist forum, where I see nothing but arrogant people thinking their so smart. I actually joined that forum because I don't have a belief in a god, but I never realized what atheist are like when their all together, not a pretty sight at all.

Every forum has its own culture. Perhaps that one attracts the worst of us heathens. (The Westboro of disbelievers?) Most of us are pretty benign.

Lol they aren't smarter. Depends on the topic, then sometimes it's study. I run circles around many atheists in various topics.

Well, if ya try run'n circles 'round me, I'll trip ya up, & show why we Scots wear kilts! That'll learn ya not to be put'n on airs, & show'n off!

People are different. Some are smart and some are not. The End. Doesn't really matter about belief. If that person does his best then thats what gets you places.

Religion has nothing to do with someone's intelligence or potential intelligence. How people choose to use their intelligence is a completely different matter.

Sharp eyed posters (nerds) will notice that these atheists are the sole survivors of their race, everyone else having been killed in an apocalyptic war.
Not so smart, eh?

Well the genius for example may have a greater parameter for measuring truth; questioning it to try figure out what is right. Whether they end up drawing god's face in a pattern of prime numbers, or finding some psychological nuero-chemical foible where god is proven artificial, may be relevant.
