I'm just guessing here but I would think if you ignore someone, you wouldn't even see their posts.
Now I could be wrong... But if I am right... You look pretty foolish responding to others you claim you ignore.
He did not go quite as crazy as in my proposal. He seems to put people on ignore and then signs out to see who responded to him. Then he can answer back without using the reply button and the person will still be "on ignore" but he is still aware of how he screwed up.

I guess that's a simple minded way to look at it.

It would be much easier to have two browser window's open, say one in chrome and one in firefox.
Sign in here with one, view here as a guest with the other. Then one could post with the one they are signed in here with and view with the other.

That seems much easier than that signing in and out nonsense.

Six of one half a dozen of another. With that way he would have to regularly switch browser windows, that would be just a click away, but then he would also have refresh the the browser where he was not logged in every time that he wanted to see if anyone responded to him.. Seems like a lot of extra work no matter how one does it.

Yeah. Constantly signing in and out would be so much easier

Did I say easier? You do not seem to know what "six of one a half dozen of another" means. No need to change browsers, meaning that you only refresh one. A couple of clicks to sign out, a couple of clicks to sign in. Both take about the same amount of time, both are stupid. I do not think that your version would be any faster. Nor do I think it would be any slower. They are equally bad.

Well I tested it. With two browsers it takes roughly 4-5 seconds to switch and refresh.
The first is a browser where I am not signed in.
The second is a browser where I am signed in.

But yeah, signing in and out, finding the thread again is faster

At some point I recall reading a post where that was the method that was claimed as the means of responding to posts that were allegedly from posters on ignore. Of course a person could just be telling people they are on ignore and they aren't really. That would be the easiest.

It doesn't have to be some elaborate scheme. Although I've been involved in other forums where some members were so personally invested and hurt by what others said that they went to even greater extremes than what you describe.

You are staff. You should be able to answer the question.
If someone has another one on ignore, can they still see the posts of the one they have on ignore?

Your answer will tell the tale

That will tell you what you need to know, but it won't tell you if someone else has others on ignore.

I missed this one.

Yeah it would tell me if someone has another on ignore if they can see their posts or not. That was my question.

As for a telling me if someone else has others specifically on ignore, none of my business who has who on ignore... Which may be why you didn't answer to my specific question.
Again thanks anyway bugs.<<< that's a good nickname for you. But would it be because of what you do or because of the bunny?

I think that we can both agree that it is foolish behavior either way.
