Atheists: If there's no God, then where did the word "God" come from?

Now that the Atheists are done with their ridicule; please give your argument in plain words.
Please provide your "evidence" you always speak of and demand from others.

Well, when you ask a question like "if there is no God, where did the word God come from", you should expect at least a bit of ridicule. It's nonsensical, as we know a great deal about how language developed in human beings. Words didn't just pop into existence as a direct creation of God. I provided evidence in several posts. Check out the source I linked to. It provides a great explanation as to how linguistics developed. The word "God" developed in the same way, rather than just popping into existence randomly at the hand of God.

You want evidence that humans create words?
Evidence should be like select a page say page # 51 in any lexicon and provide against every word on that page the proper name of the person who created the word one by one. A simple evidence should not be difficult to provide. Please

Why should I have to do that? Humans invent words, that's what we do, given that we're the ones who use words.

Several people already talked about where the word "god" came from. So I guess I don't know what you're asking for at this point.

There is a plethora of evidence proving that human beings developed linguistics. I provided a link that I assume you ignored. But, to ignore all evidence, then demand something so unreasonable, illogical, and irrelevant instead of looking at the actual evidence provided is absurd. This comment/request is an assault against rationality and respect in general. It shows an immense stubbornness on your part and a refusal to accept evidence when it is shown to you.

I've got to say, this is the silliest thread I've yet seen on RF, and that is really saying something. Words developed over time, and many human beings played a part. There aren't single people responsible for every word in existence, which makes your request ludicrous.

"Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I've ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response was there anything that could even be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul!" - Judge in Billy Madison.

Where do you get this crazy notion from? This is so far from what would be valid evidence, I don't even know what to say.

Please read the OP Post#1 :
"Humans could neither create an atom nor a word".
There is no compulsion to do it. In other words one means thatone cannot prove it with evidence.

.
Fact of the matter is that humans made every single word in every single language.
Boldly claiming other wise does nothing but reveal your dishonesty.

Where is YOUR EVIDENCE that humans cannot create a word? Hmmm. Show me the book and page, where it says that, and has been tested and demonstrated beyond a shadow of a doubt that humans are incapable of creating words.

We read your OP. We understand it: it is an illogical assertion, and many have provided you with evidence, which you refuse to accept or acknowledge or respond to with counterevidence.

It is not correct:

"Godette Name Meaning
Respelling of southern French Gaudet, from a nickname from the root gaud- ‘happy’, ‘lively’ (Latin gaudere ‘to rejoice’)."

Try another time.

Sorry, I meant to type Godettte. Now we are talking about Godetttes.

By the way, have you ever been to a blog? You are familiar with "blog" as a word? How many times do you think the word blog was used before 1980?

Please don't worry. The Atheism people are never sure of anything themselves, that is why they sometimes name themselves Skeptics, they are confused hence they just demand evidence from others and are used to sit pretty. It is OK, never-mind. Please

Here is your evidence for the term "God". It developed from the Proto-Germanic term "ǥuđán". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/God_(word)

What other word would you like to learn about? I already provided evidence that Domicritus coined the term "atom".

I would strongly suggest taking some time to do a bit of research on the development of linguistics. There is a plethora of verifiable evidence showing, conclusively, that human beings created linguistics.
